Is it not possible to have a 'phone' consultation with the doctor?  If you've been on medication before it shouldn't be a big problem for them to be prescribed over the phone.  Hope you can get something sorted out soon.  (((hugs)))

Well done on the promotion CCL.  Do persevere with the doctors appointment. Phone daily. After 3 days say... this is the third day in a row that I’ve called and I really do need to see/speak to a dr. What are my options?

Yes, agree with Purple Fairy that is the way to go. It may not get you anywhere, but it at least bounces the ball back into their court in terms of whose responsibility it is to find you an appointment. Our surgery defo does telephone consultations for those people it can't fit in for face to face appointments. If you need a chat about medication that's already on your record, they should be able to do a telephone consultation followed by a prescription you can collect from Reception. So if a phone appointment would be OK with you, you could try & get one of those?

Just wanted to say if you can't get an appointment you could try using St Johns Wort or 5HTTP as both of these are good for low mood, also I've found Rescue Remedy spray is quite good at calming me down in an emergency

When phoning your GP make sure you tell them why you are calling and that you need to be seen ASAP

If your sparkle is a little tarnished, who would be surprised ?  the court stress, the vets bills, being bereaved (you are grieving the loss of a family member), the cost of the divorce, then the stress let down, who would not be a bit overwhelmed by all that? If you think the medication will be good for you, then do it. You do not have to wait until you are a weepy mess on the floor and can't function, plus you then have the choice to take it or not, if it makes a difference or not.

Sorry you did not strike lucky on the charity shop  front.  I go many times and find absolutely nothing, then, if the right person with the same taste as you, in the same size as you, happens to donate that week, you score a bargain.   Swings and roundabouts. Congratulations on the promotion! That is brilliant, well done you. Shows how well respected you are in your 'professional life' I hope you get an extra big fat wodge of cash for it, and remember to add it to your cv and mention it at your next pay review.  You are an asset to your school. You big swot .

Oh, if you decide to take St John's Wort it negates the effect of the contraceptive pill - just in case you are getting lucky on the sly - one of my many fun facts.
