Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 4 - The Aftermath

No doubt some poor s0d is trying to sort out the glitches on this new site and messing up something else whilst doing so!
.... not that I envy them their task.

Amidst all this you've managed to pay a bit extra to your credit card? AND you got a tablet down a cat? AND there's a Dr's appointment hoving into sight, albeit not as soon as you'd like? This is a day with at least a few positives, CCL. Hope you get your feet up with some crochet later.

Evening all... guess where I've been. Yes - parents evening. Again. Year 7 this time... but that is it for me this academic year thank goodness. Also double lucked out by there being a jacknifed lorry completely blocking my main route home so I'm even later than I would normally be after parents evening. I always hope for an early night, but am definitely back into the habit of waking up at four in the morning and not being able to get back to sleep. That in turn messes with the mood, and the eating and everything goes wrong...
I've been really busy at work again today so not much chance for doing anything else. And I've gotten home to my final solicitors bill which is just over £1000. Whenever I feel as though I'm getting somewhere in moving forward with paying my debt down then something else comes and smacks me in the face. I've had a little cry but now I'm just going to pick myself up and keep going as best I can. I can only give what I have - if that means it takes longer to pay off the cc then so be it. I'm just really demotivated again financially speaking. Anyway, at least I know that it's done... the only solicitors fees still to come will be once I get the mortgage sorted. But I feel like just saying, 'ugh' to everything.
I'm pleased in a way to read that I'm not the only one struggling with a naughty cat. I could not get her into the vest. And when I finally did she managed to get out of it again straight away. Just lifted her back leg and pulled it straight down over her bum. On top of that she double hates me because I've been forcing painkillers and antibiotics down her throat - really hope that she forgives me longer term. She's been beside me almost constantly since Tuxy died and I don't want to scare her away...
Anyway, I'm going to get on. I fully intend to have a cup of tea and a bit of a wind down before I do anything else.

Hey everyone - just a quick check in from me. I'm struggling a bit with sleeping at the moment and as a result my mood has gone downhill. It's been a few days since I got anywhere close to a decent amount of sleep and I'm struggling a bit to keep going. I will, because I always do - but I'm run down and I think when I get home I'll be feet up on the sofa and asleep before I get the chance to get on and do anything online.
Things are going along the same. I'm skint and every time I make a dent in my debt something sticks another chunk of cash on there for fun. I've paid so much off and am literally no further forward than I was thanks to vet fees and solicitors. Now I also need to buy dd a new school blazer. £££££
Meh. I'm just not in a great place at the moment. Everything is wrong. I'll be fine in a bit, but meantime I won't waste your time by ranting even more. Not giving up

Oh dear, CCL. It does sound as though as nice cosy doze on the sofa is exactly what you need at the moment. There is nothing worse for making you feel under par than constant poor sleep. I've been ok this last week, once Mr F's scary medical tests weren't the worst case scenario, but while that was playing through my head, oh........did it keep me awake, then however hard you try, you just can't drop back off properly, or you do finally manage to, but by then it's ten minutes before the bloody alarm clock goes off! I do know from years & years of insomnia through much of my professional career, just how draining it is. By Thursday night, I was often too tired to feel I was driving home safely on my 20 mile trip across the county. So some serious CCL/Sofa interface is defo what you need! Re the debt.....it will gradually sort itself out. It is a real shame that the vet bills hoved into view just as you were sort of setting out onto your next stage after the court stuff had finished, & were just really wanting to get stuck into getting it all paid off. The total WILL go down.....it might be slower than you'd like, but it will happen. Fingers crossed that you will have a break from naughtily expensive cats for a good while to enable you to make a dent in the credit card. But apart from crossing your fingers, you're not allowed to do anything more energetic than that tonight! (Cos Foxgloves says so!)
