you have got this CCL!!! you can only do things as time and money allow that's being human! i'm a big believer in the satisfaction of lists & ticking things off them (I have been known to add a job i've done just to have the satisfaction of ticking it off as complete) so I get that you want everything sorted now but you will get there, i'm sure you already have but make sure you've got a page in your planner with the list of things to be done that will mean you are finally free of all the ex, divorce & tie ins to him being on the house & mortgage so you can really take satisfaction of ticking off each step and seeing your progress.
rest up when you need & I hope DS feels better soon without it developing into more xx- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

Well done on ending Feb with an excess! The focus on the food shop must have paid off this month. This cold/cough thing that is going round is fiendishly difficult to be rid of, you have a couple of good days and then seem to go backwards for a bit. It is so annoying. Sleep seems to be the only thing to get rid of it quicker.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hope the lurgy clears up quickly for both you and DS, and well done for ending Feb with an excess
One thing is certain CCL, you will know, when all this is concluded, that having got through this you can get through anything that life throws at you. The only way is up, and I have no doubts that you will get there.
Hope you have a decent nights sleep. (((hugs)))

Still full of cold that now makes me pee myself whenever I cough or sneeze. Ugh. I can't believe that my weekend has gone already and I still feel this rubbish...
There's nothing to report - I am working through stuff slowly and surely. Went to visit my mam today and she seems very down at the moment as well, which has upset me a bit because there's nothing that I can do to help her. Think she's just still adjusting to being retired and is as pig sick of the storms as we all are by the end of February. She has a tremor, which has now stopped her from knitting and crocheting which will be devastating for her - and the doctors/medicating process is very slow.
On the plus side - budget up to date, I caught up with my bestie yesterday and have earned some extra £ from tutoring today. So it's not all bad. Now I just need to get on with this tiny bit of school work that I need to do and all will be well for tomorrow. Late start at work as I have to take NT2 to the vet for her op in the morning £££££££

I think you need to sit them all down and tell them that this is not the time to get sick. Assert your authority over the furry darlings and tell them you will not stand for such shenanigans in March. February was enough, you need at least a month off. I think they are stress testing your budget. A friend of mine had her old lady cat at the vets this week and had 9 teeth out. I think there is a kitty conspiracy going on.New month, new goals ccl. Sorry to hear about your mum's tremor, hope she gets sorted soon.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Oh the lergy sounds horrid, CCL, I think the cough that we often all get left with at the end of a cold is often worse than the actual cold itself! What a shame your Mum's tremor has stopped her doing her crafting activities. Tremors are odd things aren't they? My Dad had a one & none of us really knew why it developed. It didn't seem connected to any other illness or condition, but we could see from his handwriting that it had got gradually worse over the years. He wasn't offered any treatment for it though. Hope your Mum can maybe get a bit of medication or treatment which might improve it.
Also hope that NT2 behaves between now & her vet appointment & doesn't decide to eat a piece of tinsel (thankfully the wrong season) or a bag of bombay mix between now & her vet appointment. I once knew a cat who did that (the bombay mix)- not one of mine, I'm pleased to say but it happened in my house (where she shouldn't really have been!) & as I sent her on her way home, I couldn't help feeling relieved I wasn't going to be the person dealing with THAT litter tray! Cats are very definitely put on this earth to try us, but I wouldn't be without one, nevertheless.
Hope you have a decent night's sleep & the cough doesn't make your insomnia worse. I am stressing about something at the moment & although I HOPE I sleep ok, I'm also preparing myself for the very real possibility of an early hours wake-up & some serious overthinking. Will try & have a strategy in place for when/if this happens. Us insomniacs......honestly, we want shaking up in a bloody bag, don't we?!!

Ugh. I'm even worse than I was yesterday. NT2 couldn't eat after 10pm last night ready for her general anaesthetic this morning - so by 7am there was a queue for food, which none of them got (in solidarity with NT2 and because she's so sneaky she would have found a way to get some food into her). On top of that I have that cough that makes me pee, and a stuffy nose, no voice, no patience and no capacity to deal with anything else. I feel right on edge at the moment - like I just might not cope with anything else life might chuck in my general direction. Ah well.
However, life has decided to lob another little curveball in my direction. Turns out Tuxy's insurance company have migrated over to some other system and lost her policy in the ether. So she may not have been insured at the time of her death. !!!!!!! I am trying not to panic because as far as I'm concerned this isn't my fault apart from the fact that I missed that there was no February payment. I've just spent most of my lunch break on the phone to someone trying to sort it out - I think I will definitely have cause for complaint because I didn't cancel the policy, I just didn't notice that Feb payment hadn't gone out. She reckoned that it was a fault at their end so they should honour the claim. I really, really hope so.
Wonder what I have to do to catch a break...Not giving up
