Hope you start to feel better as the day go one. My partner and I both had the AZ vac with no side effects at all, guess we were just lucky. sending hugs x8

Hope you pick up soon, CCL. Side effects must vary quite a lot as I had AZ too (last night) & apart from feeling slightly more tired than usual (it is defo relieved by caffiene!), I just have a sore arm. And to be fair, that is no more sore than following a flu jab. Maybe as I was the last appointment of the evening, it hasn't kicked in yet.

@crazy_cat_lady you poor thing! Sounds like reaction to the jab; at least you know your immune system is responding. Bed rest and a steady stream of dainties delivered by room service is my recommendation. Hope you soon feel better love Humdinger x7

Can you make sure your next jab is either in the hols or a Friday night ?My son had really bad muscle cramps and was tired but bounced back after a day.Sealed pot challenge 822

Back to work today. I finally got some sleep! It was quite bizarre really because it ended up only being an hour yesterday afternoon but I was like a new woman at the end of it. I felt so much better (apart from the sore arm), and even better than that I managed to sleep again last night. So I woke up this morning raring to go (almost) and headed back off to work. It was fine (apart from sore arm) but I did feel quite tired by the end of the day. On the plus side I only have to do another 2 days until the weekend so the week is super quick (then only 2 more weeks to go until Easter). On the not so plus side - being off work when everything is still going on means I have fallen behind and will need to be playing catch up for a few days now. At least I feel well enough to be bothered.
You're right dawnybabes - next time, weekend or Friday night appointment (or even better during the hols).

So pleased that you're feeling so much better. Long may it last (even though you are playing catch-up).

Pleased to hear how quick you are recovering.
Next time if you can not get a weekend or holiday appointment at least you will know in advance to prepare as if you are going to be off for a few days and if you are not, that is even better 😊Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning all
So obviously I've spent the rest of the week playing catch up having lost Monday and Tuesday due to the after effects of the vaccine. Got back to work on Wednesday and then basically never stopped for the rest of the week. Work has been busy, but at least there are only another 2 weeks until I break up for Easter (only 1 for my kids - we don't have the same holidays this year).
So I've been very tired, very busy, and I'm not going to lie - I can't get back into work at all. I just don't seem to be enjoying it any more. I think a whole year of a pandemic that I thought would be over and done with in a few weeks is really starting to get to me now. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of things that I've loved about it - getting out walking, decorating the house, spending time with the kids, but I've had enough now. I want to be able to go out for dinner and to the cinema - celebrate my birthday out rather than for the second year in a row, go to work but nowhere else because it's all closed. And I hate teaching with the face masks - I can't understand what the kids are saying to me and I can't hear them properly - so it just feels like a massive uphill struggle. And on top of that me and my head of department are quite far apart in terms of our views on vaccination, lockdown, pandemic, staying safe etc. And that gets draining after a while as well.
Anyway, I decided to have a couple of gins before bed on Friday while I was watching comic relief, and I had 2. Woke up yesterday morning feeling beyond ruined and really tired. Managed to drag myself up and out of bed and go out for a walk with my bestie - which helped me feel better. Then I came home and did a load of batch cooking for the week ahead and the bare minimum of housework. Slept loads better last night and feel almost back to normal today. Got up and went out walking bright and early - did 3.5 miles. Now just have to psyche myself up for the rest of the day and catching up with work...Not giving up

I had my jab on Friday and have felt wiped out all weekend. I'm hoping I'm ok for tomorrow.
