Ooohhhhh, (sighs) a book list of 130 titles? That is right up my street. I generally score fairly highly on these, as have been a huge reader since childhood. Now, if it was a list of 130 scientific facts with boxes to tick against all the ones I know....
well let's just say I wouldn't be needing the pencil sharpener!

If DD has a tablet and doesn’t need the physical book, she could possibly get the free library reading app called Libby if your local library is signed up to it and might find the books on there.

Our half term is still another week away f0xh0les. Although I have had word from their school this evening that the last year groups have finally fallen. There has only been Year 11 and Year 7 in at school since last Wednesday - but at about 6pm I got two messages, one for each child, saying that their year groups are now isolating.
DD (Year 11) is devastated and has cried for the past 2 hours. DS is ecstatic and thinks it's extra time off - and has been devastated to find that he needs to check in at school at half eight in the morning, online.
I am devastated that I still have to go to work and now have to get my own kids to do home learning, whilst teaching and getting other people's kids who are isolating to do home learning...Not giving up

Oh no! We have had year 12 off once and yr 10 off twice, but no other year has had a problem - mostly due to the kids not being able to get a test as they changed all the test centres to 'over 18s only' for the first 3 weeks they were back. Lots of parents have tested positive and had to isolate, but they seem to have kept their kids off school for 10 days and then sent them back in.

CCL, just de-lurking again to say this website may be of use to DD - lots of free e-books - they're mostly classics as the copyright has expired I believe. Anyway I did English Lit at uni and came across project gutenberg then and it's a lot better now than it was *non-covid cough* 16 years ago *cough* a short time ago when I was a young student. 😂
I read To the Lighthouse for uni actually and don't remember being too interested in it but maybe I was too young to really understand it, I've found that with quite a few books and have only learned to appreciate them with age. I preferred Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, I found that more readable (at the time anyway). I enjoyed Room, it was a good read.
Sorry to hear about all the extra work you've got, one of my good friends is a high school teacher and she is just exhausted with all of this as well.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I really liked Room as well- the book is much better than the film (in my opinion). Its not an "easy" read though. I've not read the others you mentioned.6

I have no interest in watching the film as the story seems to have been altered quite a bit.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
