Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 4 - The Aftermath

Oh CCL you have my sympathies. They are awful when they don’t let you know what’s going on. It feels like a tax for being broke, the lack of customer service they provide! I shopped at Ocado for a while ( because of offers I might add) and I felt like a princess, the service I got from the lol. I hope everything has turned up now and you get some well earned rest. Loving the diary :T1

Well I've survived 15 years so far, and I hope I can stick it out for at least another 15. I complain about it a lot but there's nothing I think I'd rather be doing - and I'm getting a bit too old to think about a big career change. I just wish that they would pay us what we're actually worth. Thanks for posting btw.Vegasgirl1973 wrote: »I hope everything has turned up now and you get some well earned rest. Loving the diary :T
Hi - thanks for postingUnfortunately no sign of my shopping. I have two very unhappy children and no milk so I can't even have a cup of tea to relax myself. I am starting to suspect that I am not going to get my shopping now which just makes me feel like crying because I'm sitting here desperately trying to make myself stay awake - probably pointlessly. Customer 'services' are absolutely no use whatsoever.

Good God. Arseda terrible customer services rumbles on.
When my shopping hadn't arrived by 1040 last night I rang again and was told by customer services that there was no hope of it being delivered last night, and they could reschedule for 8pm Saturday, which I said was too late. Asked if I could click and collect, which they told me I could, between 8-9am Saturday. They said they would need to redo my order for me - I said that was fine as long as I wasn't double charged. Asked if I could raise a complaint and they said someone would ring me from Head Office in the morning. I was a bit pittled off but went to bed, without a cuppa, then rudely awoken by cats at 6 then again at half seven. Got ready (no cuppa) and was at Arseda by 8.20 to collect my shopping. Guess what? It wasn't ready... so I abandoned my car in the click and collect bay and went 'to speak to the manager' - who basically told me they didn't know where my first order was, confirmed that I had been charged for a second order which was now running late, and that I wouldn't get a call from Head Office today as there's nobody there over the weekend. I am looking forward to their call on Monday that's for sure.
Story isn't quite finished there though. Got home, unpacked, me and ds went out to bestie's house, and then at 1230, Arseda turned up at home with my shopping delivery! DD met them, apparently they had no clue why I wouldn't be there to sign for my order (?!?!?!?!) Needless to say I have one lot of shopping that I collected myself (ready for 8.45am), which I have been charged twice for, and nobody I can talk to today about it. I certainly don't want any vouchers f0xh0les - what I am aiming for is my money back, twice, refunded to my card. I am not using online Arseda any more. It's not worth it for a tenner. I know I'm trying to save money but it's not worth that amount of hassle.:mad::mad:
Anyway, as I mentioned - I've been for a cuppa and a catch up with bestie before I recommence my exam marking (I have a lot to do and I'm way behind schedule). She has just booked herself a very luxurious holiday for the summer (a fortnight in the Maldives to celebrate her big birthday and her 10th wedding anniversary), so she's battening down and saving every penny to help pay for it. It's good to have some real life support to help and encourage with money saving. She has almost convinced me that if things go well at court next week then I will be able to not only get on paying my debt but also definitely make headway with an extra week away at the end of the summer this year.
I have christened the time when I finally sever all ties with my ex as Fexit day - after many delays it might finally happen, except I actually want Fexit to happen and I will really have something to celebrate. Who knows? I suppose I will have some clearer answers once Tuesday passes. What I do know is that I voted for Fexit almost 2 years ago and there has just been delay after delay...
Meantime, I need to continue to work three jobs, never sleep, continue arguing with Arseda and mark a gazillion exam papers. So I suppose I should get on with it, much as I'd prefer to be on here all afternoon...Not giving up

That is shockingly bad customer service, CCL. I know you are really busy, but at least you are able to get to a branch to click & collect or to do an actual shop. There are probably plenty of poorly or disabled customers for whom the total lack of groceries being delivered could have been much worse, as being able to do an online order is likely to be a lifeline for anyone who is housebound. I hope there is some kind of goodwill gesture. If they offered me vouchers, I think I'd have them, but only if they WERE the goodwill gesture iyswim.....not it they tried to refund my money in the form of vouchers. What a waste of your time that has been.
I did have a smile about the goujons though.......those would be the horrid gouojns which your son wouldn't contemplate eating a little while ago.....& then they became his best ones! Just shows you can never win with a chicken goujon!
Anyway, I do hope it all gets sorted out. And soon!
It sounds like that was several c*ck-ups all at once to me.

Well karma will really have it in for me then! :rotfl: If there is anything to celebrate in a couple of years time, I may do so then, but definitely won't be holding my breath!
But it is actually Asda's really crappy customer service . Other supermarkets are available1 -
Hopefully that is all the bad karma gone now, and you are ready to begin a spell of peace and stability.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I swear you and me are the same people.
About 6 years ok almost the same thing happened with an Asda order although I think mine happened before click and collect.
I had been using Asda for years with no problems and then one night the delivery didn't turn up during the allotted time, called Customer Services and they said they would still be delivering, got to 10.30pm and called again and they said all drivers were back at the shop and we wouldn't get our order until the next day.
Called the actual store the next day and was told the driver couldn't find our house and couldn't ring our phone to get directions and they would try to deliver that day. Of course they never did and so I called the store again and they found my order in the back of the supermarket and didn't know what had happened.
I told them to stick it and I would do my own shopping so then had to traipse to another supermarket and do my shopping again and like you had to wait for a refund.
Stopped using Asda completely, not just delivery but instore as well but relented on the instore after 2 years as their prices were cheaper.
I hope you get things resolved and the money back in your account asap.
Good luck with the weekend of marking.1 -
EE - I shouldn't still be surprised every time I read something else that we have in common, but I always am.
Marked all afternoon. Making progress - 6 days until the deadline. I think I'll make it if I work hard. Now packing in for the night and getting ready to watch Casualty. As I've watched it since I was 9 years old (i.e. from the beginning) I feel high levels of traumatic stress approaching with tonight's episode. I've already gotten tearful just at the trailer - but that could be Lewis Capaldi in the background (and I really love his music). It'll probably be much worse as I'm a bit tired and emotional anyway. Not giving up
