  • Just found your new diary, thought you'd been a bit quiet :o hoping the weekend brings you a bit of down time and everything crossed that the next trip to court is your last.

    Hello
Thank god I got a good night's sleep on Wednesday because last night was awful again, but it is at least Friday.
Friday is normally my least busy day at school but not today. I've been busy trying to cram a fortnight's worth of work into a week all week and it is catching me up. My head of department told me this morning how grumpy I've been all week and to calm myself down. To be fair I have been, but on Tuesday I was stressed sorting out his surprise lunch :p I have explained that not only am I very busy but also quite hormonal this week - but have apologised :o He had a little dig about the fact that I'm out of school next week. At least I have left some decent work behind for my lovely classes.
Home now and still quite busy, I've had to bring some tests home to mark, and I need to finish getting ready for the exam stuff as well so I can't switch off just yet. Apologies if I go all quiet again - hopefully I won't but if I do it's just being busy doing exam stuff.

I'm sure we all understand about the exam pressures, CCL. If you go awol, we'll know that's what it is.
Hope the court stuff is sorted this time. Fingers, toes & paws firmly crossed here for you. You do just need to be able to move on now. It's gone on for long enough.

  • Morning :coffee:
Think the busyness of last week caught up with me a bit yesterday - I slept pretty well Friday night but was just wiped out for most of yesterday. Thankfully I didn't have masses to do - just the usual about the house stuff, washing, dishes, cat trays, tidying etc. and the tests to mark. I was scuppered by the website with the mark scheme on being down for the whole day so I wrote my own mark scheme. I consider myself being well enough experienced to do that reasonably accurately - so I marked the tests and sent the results to my head of department and he will report back to them (and parents on parents evening next week) while I'm away.
Me and the kids are going to my mam's this afternoon before I head off - there's all sorts of complex arrangements for looking after them while I'm away, which blows my mind if I think about it but they all seem to know what's going on. It pretty much involves my mam moving into my place for a few days, and my sister being about as well for a bit of cat feeding when dd can't. At least I know that the kids, cats (and house) will be well looked after while I'm away. I was worried when I split with my ex that I wouldn't be able to do my exam marking any more - thankfully my mam, bestie and sister have been so good with helping out for the few days a year I need to be away. I'm lucky that I've been able to do it thanks to them because goodness knows I need the money.
Saw bestie for a cuppa yesterday afternoon, and the usual weekend catch up - which is always good. It's only been a fortnight since I saw her, but she reckons she can see I'm losing weight (12lb so far), which has spurred me on to keep going. Not sure how I'm going to manage when I'm in London for a few days but I'm going to try.
Anyway, I had better get on - I have a few last minute things I need to do this morning (like finish packing) and I can't sit on my bum for ever.

Wow, 12lbs is fantastic, CCL. I wish I could say the same! There's far too much diet sabotage going on here! However, I am intending to do better in the coming week & have decided I will brave the scales properly on the last day of Jan, ready to go forward with a bit more structure. Eating healthy meals, calorie counted but just too much picking during the day.... my downfall!
Anyway, great to hear how well you're doing.
