Congratulations on the promotion! Hope you have some plans to celebrate. Very glad that all the worries about how you did at interview were just negative thoughts and your ability to do the job and do it well shone through.10

I have been reading your diary for a while now and think you are doing so well after a turbulent few years. Well done on the new job role and I love the kitten. Can I just strongly urge you though to get some medical help for your hormonal problems? I suffered with ongoing anaemia (due to heavy monthlies) which my doctor always put down to my weight and just sent me off with iron tablets and even lower self-esteem each time. Then a locum doctor thought it needed investigation and referred me to a gynacologist who discovered I had womb polyps. After they were removed he recommended the Mirena coil (I know it doesn't suit everyone) and hey presto! my periods stopped, my iron levels improved, my energy and outylook improved, and I sailed through the menopause (I was 50 when I had the first coil fitted). I know your issues aren't the same, and I would never give medical advice, but the point I'm trying to make is that if I had been referred earlier I wouldn't have lost so much of my life to feeling so run down and demoralised. We are brought up not to make a fuss about our "women's problems" but when you are losing days each month to being so run-down then they need addressing. What advice would you give your daughter if she was suffering as well? Sorry to make such a random nagging post out of the blue but I feel very strongly about such matters and wished I had kicked up a fuss earlier in my life, but like you I suffered from low self-esteem and somehow thought it was my fault. If you can't talk to your doctor, can you visit another in the practice? I think you are an amazing woman and was in awe of your recent house improvements. Just think what you could do with those extra few days each month!18

Thrilled for you about the interview results
Have to say I agree with @dreaming. If it was your daughter or bestie I'm sure you would insist they see a different doctor. Diabetes can be caused by being overweight, but the Dr still gives medication to help manage it! (((hugs))) XX

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
