Not much to report from today, a good day at work and a NSDGot a bit more painting done so just have a strip about 4 feet wide to finish with a second coat tomorrow. We also rearranged the bedroom furniture which makes the room look much bigger.

Painting is finished
The room looks so much brighter and once I've been to the tip and charity shop tomorrow, it will be clear of clutter.
Yesterday OH got confirmation that he wouldn't get funding for his course which we were expecting but at least the course fees are paid for. So really need to start being extra careful with money so I can fund him through it plus continue to save. It's a bit of a pain that it has coincided with me shifting jobs and I no longer have rota'd sleepovers so I'm down about £200 a month anyway. Although due to the way we get paid, I won't see the difference until October's wage. Ah well we'll manage and I have picked up a sleepover this month. The food bill is definitely an area where we can save a bit of money. I've downloaded the Lid! plus app so will get £5 off my next shop there plus I've managed to snaffle some food from work that was going to be thrown out. There was a huge cooked chicken breast which I've sliced and stuck in the freezer, there's definitely enough there to do both of us for a Sunday lunch and some pudding which will be eaten tomorrow evening.
Yesterday and today have been NSDs and tomorrow should be as well. Picked up a little 4 hour overtime shift tomorrow which will be fine. Saturday I've made plans with a friend to go for a walk up a local hill, will take a picnic to save money rather than going for lunch somewhere afterwards. Sunday I've got no plans as yet, hopefully a nice day relaxing with OH.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Yesterday's 4 hour shift turned into 5 but all extra pennies
I took all the stuff to the tip, however, haven't been to the charity shop yet as OH still has more clothes to sort out. I then went for a walk, I was trying to go to a small communal garden that I've been to before but I couldn't find it. I was definitely in the vicinity but totally failed to actually get into the garden. NSD other than picking up some things for work but will get reimbursed on Monday.
Weigh in today so another 2 pounds offtotal loss so far 1 stone 1 pounds
Next week I'm hoping to hit 10 stone which is another 2 pounds away. It should be a NSD again today, I've got a cheese and pickle roll and some snacks to take with me for my day out with my friend.
Me and OH did the meal plan for next week and made up a shopping list. We actually don't need a massive amount so worried I might slightly struggle to get to the £25 spend in Lid!. Can always buy toilet rolls to stash to make up the value. Will also need to pop to Morries to get ww bread and probably washing tabs. I need to buy a specific brand due to OH having sensitive skin and can't remember if Lid! sells them.
Right better go jump in a shower as I said I would pick my friend up at 10am. Hope everyone has a good weekend.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Had a lovely day out on Saturday, was nice to spend time with my friend and get out of the city for a while. Sunday I had a mostly relaxing day other than doing the weekly shop and going for a wee walk. Spent the £25 in Lid!, in fact it came to £25.10 so got the £5 off. I also spent £21.40 in Morries, £9 on washing tabs, £4 on toiletries and the rest on bread, cheese and coffee. On the Lid! app, I got a scratch card thing and won £1 off my next shop
A lady in the shop also gave me a £5 off voucher
Not much to report from today. Busy and productive day at work, went for a walk after work and it's been a NSD. Off to bed shortly as need to go into work for 7am tomorrow.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

NSD on Tuesday and yesterday I bought petrol (£28.48) and a very small top up shop of milk, yoghurt and soft cheese (£2.60).
Once again we seem to be going through the grocery budget very quickly but I have bought quite a few toiletries and cleaning products this month which come out of this budget. We should hopefully have a low spend weekly shop at the weekend as most of the meals will be coming out of the freezer/store cupboard so it will just be fresh stuff needed.
I'm currently out for a walk and will nip in past b&m to get a card and present for our friends wee girl. I'll stop in at the post office on the way to work to send it. I'll see if they have my shampoo and conditioner brand as I'm out of conditioner and almost out of shampoo. If not, I've got some minis from a hotel stay which can be used up. Might just use those up anyway first.
Beginning to slightly stress about how the lack of sleepovers and OH going to college will impact on our finances, however, we'll manage - we always do!
I braved the gym yesterday, was very nervous about going but it actually felt very safe so will definitely go back. I had thought I would give it a go and if I didn't feel safe, I would have paused my membership for a few months.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Spent £16.28 on the present, card and postage but OH has already given me £8 for his share
Couldn't find the specific kind of shampoo and conditioner so will make do with the minis and what I've got left for now.

NSDs yesterday and today
Has been lovely weather so me and OH went a walk along the beach yesterday and the park today.
Got my pay slip through but my pension contribution hasn't been taken off so I need to wait until payroll sort that out before I can do a budget.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Forgot to say I'd lost 1/2 pound when I weighed in yesterday. Definitely haven't been as focused on the last week so will up my game this week and hopefully get to 10 stone this week.
Weekly shop today came to a whopping £11.92only needed bread, milk, fruit and veg so still have £34.28 left in the food budget which will easily see us to the end of the month.
