NSD yesterday and today I've spent £5.33 on milk, yoghurt, tissues and heather.  The heather is to replace a dead plant in one of my pots outside.  Planted it earlier and it looks really nice.

Got an email through about my ynab subscription which is due at the end of September and I've booked the car in for an MOT on 9th October.  Have got the money put aside for both

I've also booked a long overdue haircut so will need to budget for this when I actually get round to working on the budget for next month.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.98

NSDs the last 2 days and today will be as well.  I've picked up a extra late shift today so having a fairly lazy morning before I start work.  Have been out for walk though, getting my step count up

    Budget for October - £1865.89
    - £1050 usual bills
    - £150 car
    - £70 petrol
    - £230 food/cleaning/toiletries
    - £40 haircut
    - £30 social
    - £100 car fund
    - £100 emergency fund
    - £30 home fund
    - £30 present (sister's birthday)
    - £10 flat deposit
    - £25.89 new phone

Hoping my phone survives a bit longer, however, if it gets too temperamental I'll use the money that is earmarked for the emergency fund plus what's already saved to get a new one.

Since the car got lots of work done on it a few months, it should pass its MOT with no issues so hopefully will just have to pay for the MOT and then any money left should pay for the insurance due in November.

£10 flat deposit is really just a token gesture but I want to try and get into the habit of putting money aside each month and hopefully the amounts will increase

I have lunch planned with a friend next month so £30 should easily cover that.

Weigh in this morning and stayed the same which I'm pleased with as haven't been particularly focused this week again.  Will try and reach 10 stone this week.

Think that's everything, hope everyone has a good weekend

Got the food shop today and now have £4.77 left in the food budget.  Should only maybe need milk and bread before the end of the month.

  • All in all a good budget and a good month for you.
Considering the current situation you are doing really very well and the fund pots are serving their purpose nicely.
You are in a good position for the future :-)

    Thanks Boodedoo

NSD yesterday and today.  PH yesterday so double time which is always good.  Will need to get milk, yoghurt and cheese tomorrow but the £4.77 left in the food budget will cover that.

    Payday today

£2 bank reward has been added to my account so I've moved it to the flat deposit fund.  I've added it to my signature to keep me motivated.

Swapped to a late shift today as one of the staff is off sick, don't mind as I prefer late shifts.  Once my breakfast has settled, I'm going to head to the gym.  OH has asked me to pick up a parcel from the post office depot as it's only a 5 min walk from the gym.  Should be a NSD unless I pop in b&m which is also near the gym.

Looking forward to seeing the flat deposit savings grow, the little bits may not seem much at first but you have already proved it works when you were chipping away at the debt . That's now gone, and the flat deposit will grow from an acorn to a tree :-)
