Thanks for all the lovely comments. Much appreciated
The photographer is here. He is totally Covid unaware; touching things, no mask, no gloves. I will be glad when he has gone. I had the energy certificate man do the same yesterday. I must admit all the people coming into my home is making me feel uncomfortable. All the old feelings about having strangers in my home are back and made worse by Covid. I am in such close contact with my relative I can’t risk infecting her...
The door frame has been painted. The first time I have painted wood work and it isn’t brilliant but it looks good enough and is a huge improvement on before.
I have been gardening, painting, tidying and cleaning since 5.00am.
My neighbour saw me painting outside this morning and asked me where I am getting my energy from.
I never did get the skirting boards and doors cleaned. I will tackle them later on today. It means getting the steamer out so may as well clean the floors too.
I also need to go to look for a bath panel and lino.
The search for a plumber continues, as the EA has their trades people on a contract so can’t recommend.
The outside floodlight needs to be cleaned and the old bulb removed and replaced.
The good news is I have 2 viewers booked in for Saturday and the photos are not even up yet.
The photographer has just left. Sigh.
Hope you are all ok

All of the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle are finally being put in place DIA . 🧩You are doing a terrific job . It's good that you are keeping in touch with your decorator also 🎨
Sorry to hear about the irresponsible photographer ,and the energy certificate person.
I took a risk with James when he turned up without a mask , and thought to myself" what the hell" as I've been out of the social loop for so long . If they weren't coughing , you'll probably be fine , but try not to focus too much on it .Keep going , and all will be well .It may be worth joining the next door website , as you would probably be pointed in the right direction of tradespeople when you are stuck . Just a thought .
Hope day is going well..6 -

A lovely sunny day here. Good for viewings. I had 8 viewings. I already have 2 booked for next Saturday.
I sat out in the garden throughout. Sad that I never sit out in the garden usually as it is very private and quiet and at the moment a nice relaxing space to be in. I was still embarrassed about the things I've not been able to do but I got over it. I met my goal of putting my house on the market, so I am proud of myself.
I have the white paint and the walls in the bathroom were prepped by the decorator so I will be painting over the weekend.
A neighbour on the road asked me to rent instead of moving. I explained I have lived here for a long time and I have to move sometime!
I've texted the handyman to see if he can fit the Lino next week in the bathroom.
This afternoon I have a friend coming over to have a coffee in the garden. I've not been able to do that for many years.
I hope you are all having a lovely Saturday.

wow - what a success story DIA. I think its best to be there but not there when viewings are happening. That does sound like a lot of interest so take confidence from that when people start making offers that make you flinch as they will, that's just how it is
