Thanks everyone
We had a power cut today. It went down just after 8 and came back at 4! When power went they were talking about Dominic Cummings on the radio. When the power came back they were talking about Dominic Cummins on the radio.
First lockdown. Then lockdown without electricity. Where will it end?
The power cut saw me gardening at 8.30. Will be resuming later as I like the difference it is making.
I had a house tidy and moved furniture and objects until each room contained only what was necessary. I decluttered a vase that I dislike.
I wrote a letter of complaint
I wrote another letter to WTC
Will get them both printed off and I will go to the Post Office tomorrow
I have gas, so was able to get on with some batch cooking:
Chicken curry
Tamari nuts and seeds
Coleslaw
Quinoa
Lentil and veggie soup
I created a mountain of dishes and there was no hot water to wash them up. There is hot water now so no excuses...
A friend texted for a chat but not in the mood so will suggest tomorrow instead. This evening will be a bit of TV/Netflix and a bath
I hope you have had a good Sunday

With WTC I send signed for letters. I'm very wary of them and prefer to communicate in writing. I don't want them emailing/phoning me as I find it intrusive. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Good point DIA .😼
Anything to do with the gvt is a pita at the best of times .
The only useful thing on universal credit , is that I have a journal which means I have a record of everything so to speak . Even then, I haven't had a response for over a month due to the corona virus situation in my journal. In my case I have to check all angles to cover myself .
Hope it gets sorted soon ..5 -
Broke a pretty vintage cup. Getting to be a habit but at least I’m using my nice things. I’ve noticed breakages only happen when the kitchen is a mess and I knock things off surfaces. More reason to keep my space clean and organised.
This morning, first thing, I cycled about 4 miles. It now feels easy.
My joints are much less painful. I am thankful for it.
Bought 3 plants for £5 outside the station. A sort of daisy thing. I mixed the colours so one white, one yellow and one orange. Will plant when its cooler and carry on with the front garden.
My beetroot is coming up well
I got a bank statement and I have had some payments from WTC! Years ago they messed up my claim. I did not have proof that I told them information so I am paying every penny they send me into a separate account for now until it all settles down. If I have to pay them back it will be ready.
Ate a whole bag of crisps. Whoops. That said, I am sticking to IF and eating much better. Usually.
I have a work call/Zoom at 4pm I need to prep for, but dishes and the kitchen first.
Hope you are all having a good enough day

I wish it was just me with the breakages, but I have broken 4, four! nice royal doulton glasses in recent weeks. One putting it back nice and safe in its box. I am using the nice things at some pace. Much sympathy from me.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
