Chrystal said:Sounds like a plan DIAI don't envy you clearing the shed (spiders!) One of the main reasons I haven't started to tackle my upstairs room of doom is because I've a real phobia about insects - even butterflys
so you can imagine what I'm like with spiders and moths!!! (((hugs)))
HairyHandofDartmoor said:Good luck with your shed 🐸 DIA. I'm lucky because I don't mind spiders. I'm petrified of snakes 😱 but luckily you don't across them so often.beanielou said:You would have laughed last week!
In the foodbank we have two very very large boxes for carrier bags.
I look the last couple of bags out of one last week & there was a rather big spider & i let out an almighty shriek!!another_casualty said:All looking good still DIA 😼
Have you got a lock on your outbuilding ? Best be on the safe side if putting anything in there .Good luck with the spiders 🕸🕷. Hope the squirrels haven't been in there 🐿
@another_casualty no need to worry about locks on the shed as it is missing a window!! The hope is for it to have a boxed up bath in there and a sink so should be okay.
@beanielou I would not have laughed at the spider! Fainted or screamed maybe but laughter? No!If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Seasidegal58 said:Jus caught up with your diary whilst on my coffee break DIA. Wow! You've got through loads whilst I've been off the boards the last couple of weeks. How are you finding the cleaning book? You sound like you've been making inroads (better than I've been doing lately☹️).One tip I read a while ago when decluttering a room is to take a picture of the room on your phone. It's funny - when you look at the photo, whatever you need to declutter seems to jump out at you more than just staring at it.Have a good day!
I love the take a picture tip.
My room looked decluttered but then I sat somewhere new and noticed all the boxes of books under my dining table. Whoops. That said it IS SLOWLY getting done and I'm pleased.
Hope your day is going wellIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I think the take a picture is a fab idea - as is sitting down in different parts of the room and looking at the view. It helps the clutter / what needs doing jump out at you. I confess I am ignoring the house for now and purely focusing on the garden as the house is too overwhelming.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I went into the out building just to get that over. Stepping in there was yuck but will be less yuck next time I hope. That’s the idea anyway. Instead I concentrated on the finance part of the bathroom plan. I was on the phone for hours trying to get it sorted. Still more reading to do but I may have found a way to release some money tied up for my future. It will help the batherom project a great deal but I will still need to be savvy as I might need to finance fixtures and fittings from everyday money and keep the fund back to pay for labour. I hate making financial decisions so I got so anxious I ended up with an upset tummy so I need to relax this evening.
At least it feels like I am moving forward with a project. This C19 makes me feel stuck and as if life is passing by. I need a project. Not just cleaning and decluttering but a project that forwards my life aims. I also deserve a nice place to live in (as @HairyHandofDartmoor kindly said)
I made soup, cleaned the bathroom, and gave myself a pedicure.
Burning eucalyptus, sage and lavender. Tray baked veggies for later.
As @another_casualty says, I'll leave it there'
Have a lovely, sunny, relaxed evening
