Midlife Musings and Measurable Goals

Unless the day is planned out it disappears and before I know it 4pm is here and the day feels over.
I have just steam cleaned the bathroom and toilet. Both came up really well.
I washed and cut my hair. Hmm at least my hair is clean and groomed (of a sort)
The decluttering has been moved to the spare room as there was so much stuff for the charity shop it was blocking my hallway.
I tried to eat a frog but my research was not successful. The frog in the driveway needs taking away. Might talk to the guy over the road who fixes cars. I hate asking people for help! Another frog I have to eat, or maybe a different bite out of the same frog.
I have had the urge to spend on some perfume. I already have nice perfume, so don’t need more. I am AF and I have not eaten chocolate since last week sometime. I need a treat, but it can wait until tomorrow now. I find that without treats it ends in an even bigger splurge. Anyway, tomorrow I will have a walk in the sunshine, but a bar of dark chocolate and some flowers. I have a sod-it fund with £20 in it so I will use that. I feel better already. Good to have something nice to look forward to. It’s the small things
Have a relaxing evening.

I agree with you about the perfume DIA .😼
It seems a lot of people have let theirselves go a bit since they are at home . I always make sure I shower / shave / moisturise etc even now when I'm permanently stuck in.Eating chocolate is always good .Good luck with the fogs 🐸6 -

We all have an off day or 2 here and there obviously . Totally agree with it affecting mental health. It's easy to get into a rut and not realise it . Been there .This coronavirus is causing a lot of anxiety whether in or out but hopefully we can be as unscathed as much as we can and eventually things can get back to normality or as near as in the not too distant ..
Have a good day all🌞7 -
Glad you are planning in little treats and that your efforts at getting fitter and healthier have been rewarded with a good weight loss. I'm not doing the 800 diet in practice just cutting back - and cutting back more on some days than others.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The IF plan is relatively easy for me. It has reduced the volume of food too as I am not as hungry. Found myself prepping my day's vegetables today: a big salad and some roasted veggies to go with my meals and realised how much the balance towards fruit and veg has shifted. Definitely feel better for the weight lossIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

and I will try garlic and olive oil. I tend to cook with oil and then stir a bit of butter in at the end
I use soy suace as on lo carb you are advised to up you salt intake, but I don;t like too much salt so this seems like a compromise a bit salty but not too heavyI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
