Tried to logon to library account and can't. When library is up and running I will get this sorted. Audio on loan from library is a great idea. Now I have the head set I can combine a book or music with doing household chores. Strangely, I am looking forward to it!

Chrystal said:doingitanyway said:Chrystal said:It will be great if you can get your bedroom sorted out DIA, will give you a fabulous sense of achievement that will last longer than a day.I 'sorted out' the wet room the other day... nearly blinded myself with the bleach fumes! OH has an online shopping addiction and the place was chocca block with 'stuff' (which rarely gets used) I was amazed how different it looked when I'd finished. (have you noticed how our eyes 'skim over' stuff and just don't seem to notice them and only realise what a mess it was when it's been cleared?)Hope you manage to also do some more in the garden. Another thing that I also need to do. I bought 15 'garden ready' plants from a TV shopping channel, which arrived about 4 days ago and they're still in the (open) box on the patio waiting to be planted! Seeing that I also bought compost from them I really have no excuse, apart from feeling so bl00dy awful that it seems to be too much to do... need to give myself a good kick up the backside!!Hoping that today we can both feel that sense of achievement.
(((hugs)))
I'm still 'upright and breathing' DIA, which has got to be a plusThanks for asking.
Great that you got your bedroom sorted out. I must admit I have noticed a difference in breathing when mine has been deep cleaned - amazing how dust can get up your nose LOLDidn't get a great deal done in the garden, just a number of pots weeded and the top part of the compost removed so I can freshen them up and get some plants in, but didn't do any today. To be honest I'm shattered, had about 3 hours sleep Sat, and about the same Monday night, with an 8 hour sleep on Sun. Going to bed soon and hoping that tonight is better.Take care and keep on keeping on. (((hugs)))
Re the garden I didn't do anything and you did. Anything is better than nothing.
I hope you sleep better tonight. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I’m keeping the meh at bay but it is there, I can feel it. I’m fighting it by keeping busy. Every time I find myself caught up in negative thoughts I stop and DO something. Working so far…
Transferred £50 into my everyday account as my budget for this month was not realistic and was therefore stressful.
So, going for a walk and will treat myself to some nice dark chocolate and a nice box of Earl Grey tea. And I need eggs again. Still struggling to find eggs consistently. Wish I had hens.
I am going to try and do an early morning walk every day in the hope of releasing feel good endorphins that last all day. Plus it will be quieter. There seem to be more people on the streets every day where I am.
A decent veg box company finally so that’s a relief. I have found myself constantly thinking about food and where to get it from so I hope this helps. On the plus side all the veg boxes recently haven’t been great, but I have increased my veggie intake massively so I am eating better.
On my cleaning/organisation plan it is the fridge and under the kitchen sink. Shelves out and washed, the whole palaver. I must confess to never having done it that way before.
I’ll see if I can get some work done this evening
Hope you are all having a good day.

I think it’s really hard for us who live alone to be positive all of the time. I am ok when I am at the foodbank but no so good when at home.

Well done on the cleaning. I really need to do the same. I've even offered to pay DD to clean under our bed. I am sure that would majorly reduce the allergy load in our bedroom. She's done an amazing job of sorting her room out I now need her to do mine LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

DIA , you must have a lovely relaxing bedroom to sleep in now , which will benefit you know end. Glad the veg box is a success this time . Your neighbour was very kind to bring you produce . I wish I could grow veg and salad items , they taste so much better than shop bought.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.6

Wow lots of progress DIA with a little 'blip' in between. We can't be upbeat and positive all the time. It's about acknowledging these times and taking our foot off the pedal and cutting ourselves some slack. Obviously if it is starting to go on a long time then we may need to seek help, but it's human nature. That's my take on it anyway and this is what I tell my clients. You are doing just fine and we are living in very strange times.
I am still lucky to have the structure of work, although we are working 8-4 or 8-12 covering 7 days a week. Went in at 8 the other day instead of 12!!! Oops. Not the only one as someone else came in on their day off and another thought they were 12-8 when they were 8-4.
Glad you are getting things done and managing to eat healthily and exercise. Major things to keep going. Would definitely recommend getting up early and exercising.Have been attempting to get up and go to bed at the same time every day. Bit of a struggle at first, but getting better. Feel there is a lot more time to get things done. Was always a morning person before the menopause hit and then hot flushes and insomnia started. Getting better now and am just recognising that I will feel tired whatever. Exercise keeps my mood high too.
Anyway need to get ready for work. Sun is out too and birds are singing.
Have a good day everyone
