Well DIA , it's good to hear you say " sod it I'll do stuff when I'm ready ." This proves that imho you are being sensible and not burning yourself out 🔥 . You have things to think of and plan then do so when you're up to it . You're putting your best foot forward with the pedicure as well, and treating yourself now and then is essential 👣 Regarding the bathroom , if it were me I'd try to workout the max you want to spend , and assess how much of it needs doing . Then get some quotes in and hopefully get lucky with the right tradesperson . Keep soldiering on 💂🏻♀️. This site seems to have put off a lot of people now I'd say because of the makeover .. 💩Have a good day7

Learning to listen to our bodies and what they are telling us, is an artform, which you seem to be mastering, good for you! As for the outbuilding, Is that where my spiders went to? Best leave them alone as they will be wanting a rest

Wow brilliant progress. Bet the windows look amazing.
Hubbie fitted some internal doors this week. The lady wrote a lovely note saying who wanted fancy holidays or new clothes when she had new doors!! Couldn't help opening and closing them. It does make a difference.
We moved in here in 1992 and it's still work in progress. People seem to forget that we've had a new roof, replaced beams, new wooden sash windows (the cost!!! but worth it), chipped off old external plaster on the whole place and replaced with traditional lime. Oh and had heating put in. We are fuss pots and like the nicer more traditional things in life, so these are not cheap and worth waiting for.
Keep going you'll get there. Life has to be enjoyed in between too. So what if you take a break? We don't do this enough and keep pushing on. Pacing is the key.
Off later on for a meal and stay over to celebrate my friend's 50th. Just got to make her card.
All the best for the weekend.7 -
I hope all goes well with the MRI scan DIA.Re the house - my good friend and her OH bought a Victorian house in dire need of renovation nearly twenty years ago. It's still not finished and has become a bit of a running joke among friends as to when will they ever finish it! But they love socialising and travelling and quite a bit of their income has been spent on this over the years. My friend says she wouldn't have missed all the good times for the world and life is for living - and the house will get done eventually!😁Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
