Thanks @another_casualty @mark55man @Sunshine_girl2 @beanielou @Humdinger1 @savingholmes @RosaBernicia @24ta Such a nice welcome back. Glad you all think I sound more positive. Definitely feel that way
I'm treating this week as a transition week as it isn't quite flowing yet. I've gone from every meal being provided, my room being cleaned, my washing and ironing being done and it is such a reality bump. I need to get a schedule going with life admin/ laundrette/ cooking and shopping and creative work. Now thinking about working 4 days and having 1 day for chores/shopping/ bulk cooking and life admin. I picked up little one from school today but taking her twice a week and then straight to work might be better.
No new houses to visit, but that's ok.
Loads of walking so no fares spent at all. Feet sore but I should sleep well tonight.
I had a coffee today that I didn't need and wasn't that great. Going to start taking a flask and having a coffee on the park I walk through instead.
Thinking my NSDs are spoilt by YS foods and fares so going to withdraw £20 a week for those and I will load my pass with enough travel costs for the week. I need to get organised and stop frittering. (MSE)
I had a £25 win on the PBs.(MSE)
I'm owed a few hundred pounds and will broach the subject to see if I can get that back so I can pay it off the credit card. (MSE) I am carrying debt of about £500 and need my debt free status back!
Back up savings gone and need too be rebuilt...(MSE)
I've not got the routine I need but I'm working on it.
I hope everyone had a good dayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

It was like reading the DFW small things list .... well done you. Lots of MSE practices there that together will pay off. Hope you get the debt repaid to you and therefore the debt cleared asap. Not fun to owe £ due to other people. I have had to become much stricter about not being over-generous...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

You're just back from a working holiday, it takes time to settle back in and your lists look good.
Keep altering your plans until falling back into a routine, don't forget to make time and look after yourself. Everything will fall back into place 😃Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
I have, over the past few days, read your entire diary. Oh my goodness what a rollercoaster for you but you have handled it so so well.
In case it helps, we are pretty much in the same situation - sold Sept 2020, been in rented since (2 different rentals as a "friend" kicked us out of the first one in favour of "longer term" tenants) and cannot find anything we like (though were under offer on one who pulled out 3 weeks prior to completion after we had spent 6k though luckily lawyer wrote off fees so losses limited to 2.5) and the market has moved on another 300k or so since. We have two small DC and it's hell on earth.
Didn't mean to hijack your thread, just to say I will be following, wishing you good vibes to find a house and totally sympathise with where you are at - you are handling it a lot better than I am!10
