Thanks @savingholmes
Thanks @anjyeah you were right I did need to grieve or go away and lick my wounds...
Thanks @Seasidegal58 for the hug and the confidence in me
Well the rollercoaster continued. I was burgled and the thieves stole my laptop. I've only just got sorted with a replacement of sorts. I'm due to go on my retreat and all my work was on that laptop so I was devastated. It was backed up a year ago and I have the external drive, but I will need to buy an expensive laptop (by the fruit people) to work off it, and plan to do that next week.
My relative needs increasing care. I am struggling with this.
Finances are a mess but I am prioritising the new laptop...I also made a decision to leave everything where it is in storage. I am now covered until early spring...please god let me have somewhere by then! I managed to negotiate a free monthI also did not take their stupidly expensive storage insurance so saved there too...
House wise I am happy to leave looking until after the retreat.
Health? Both mentally and physically I'm doing rubbish to be frank. The retreat has beautiful grounds so walking will become part of my creative routine. There is a chef there so easy to eat well. I am using the opportunity to also get healthier.
So, that is my summary of another episode of my life in this truly awful year.
I've missed this place...
Off to catch up on diaries and see how everyone is getting on.

Have a good retreat and give time to yourself. You have had one hell of a year so far.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.7

well that's a lot to deal with @doingitanyway - sending hugs
I hope you can enjoy the retreat and the grounds and the food, whilst not fretting too much about the work you lost. Enjoy your new Fruit based IT solution.
Then I hope you come back refreshed and ready to pick up the search again. All I read, is that t has got a bit quieter and vendor's are not in position where they can behave dreadfully as happened to you
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Oh good grief DIA, send virtual hugs.
Hope you get your fruit for a reasonable price.

Oh no DIY. So much has happened recently.
Glad you have a retreat to take stock and relax.
Sorry to hear about your relative.
What dirty tricks on the vendor's part. Don't think I could go back on my word once I'd accepted an offer and you are in a good position having sold yours already. Oh well the best is yet to come. It wasn't meant to be.
Horrible about the burglary and laptop too.
Sending you virtual hugs and best wishes for the future.
Take care

So sorry to hear of this run of bad luck you are having DIA 😾
Hooefully the retreat will relieve some of the tension etc .Regarding the laptop , I don't know if the ' find my ' feature would be on a laptop as it is for Mac and iPad . If so, remember to put it on your new one .Not sure if you are able to retrieve any lost stuff on 'Time machine ' .
Hopefully the last of this bad fortune is behind you , and things take more of a positive turn sooner rather than later 🤞6 -
Enjoy the retreat & the healthy eating.

Time away at the Retreat will hopefully give you a new perspective. XXXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy8
