Thanks everyone
It helps to have your support
My mood isn’t quite there yet. General gloom is compounded by hearing a family friend died. The deceased was someone I had been meaning to visit for the last few weeks…:(
Still in PJs and I had toast and jam for my supper. I’ve spent the day fretting about this and that
I wasn’t up to visiting my relative tonight either, so on the surface it isn’t looking good…But…
House news…!
As @another_casualty has pointed out, I now know exactly where I want to live now so will keep an eye out but I am resigned to waiting.
I’m thinking of taking my goods out of storage and storing everything here in a spare room in the flat. That would take the pressure off. The money could be saved towards housing costs and if nothing suitable comes up I am happy to stay put until next year
I am still in a good proceed-able position.
I now have a local solicitor and a surveyor ready to go so next time the pressure will be much reduced. (I will also research removals and get them lined up ready.)
Good news…
I won £50 on the PBs. (Gone to my savings)
Today has been a NSD
I have access to a lovely penthouse for a few weeks (will go there for a few days for a change of scenery)
Gratitude
A roof over my head
Good health
Cooler nights

Thanks for updating DIA 😼
Sorry to hear about family friend . You have been here there and everywhere over the last few months , so try not to dwell too much .Congratulations on the £50
Penthouse sounds good .The only thing I would advise though, is to collect stuff from storage when you return rather than doing it before . That's me though, and your views may vary .I can't see you being downbeat for too long , and I you have a lot of go in you so to speak
Hope the acupuncture and counselling are going well
I'll leave it there ....😼6 -
Thanks AC. Wise words as always. I will collect goods when I am back rather than now.
The acupuncture was yesterday and I fell asleep with needles in me. The ones in my forehead should help me avoid migraine despite the recent stresses. Counselling is also going well.
I won't stay down. Coming back on here is part of the fightback!

My condolences about your friend.
If you can fit everything in the spare room do it, just keep adding the storage savings to your house fund and don't spend it.
Congratulations on your win and enjoy the penthouse!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.7 -

Congratulations on your win and enjoy the penthouse!Yes, I can fit everything in as I plan to give away a few items I don't need to my sister. I will set up a s/o for the storage savings to my house fund. I paid for the storage costs in advance so will notice the shrinkage of my budget but determined to save for future housing costs.

I'm really upset for you, but have faith that things will turn out right in the end. Sending loads of gentle (((hugs)))
I can't believe the dirty tricks that people play, and, whilst not wishing them ill, I do hope that Karma plays a very large part in the lives of the Sellers and the EA in the not too distant future. When we sold our last house we were offered an extra 10% by someone, but turned it down because we had already told our buyers that we accepted their offer, and there is no way that I could have done that to them. I guess I just don't understand people. XXXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy9 -

I'm just catching up on your posts and I am saddened to hear about the house purchase and the loss of your friend. If anything, there is definitely some learnings and perspective going to be taken out of this experience. Obviously you can allow yourself to grieve over this things as it's only the natural way to process it.
And even with all that, you appear like someone who has a plan already and I'm sure that would kickstart things in momentum again. You definitely have our support! My Debt Free Diary: Virgo In Pursuit
