That's a good price for swimming and getting your bike back will provide more independence.
I used to enjoy going to the launderette, it was 'my time', I would take a book to read, revise for exams or do coursework, a can of pop and chocolate bar. Was set up for a few hours while washing and drying everything. Even walking by one and the smell of heat drying the clothes brings back a happy relaxed feeling, because I made the trips into something positive.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.8 -
I love that, the launderette - how very retro.
Your lovely personality shines through there! It did make me smile.
Hope you are taking time to breathe said the pot to the kettle
Always in awe of how fantastic you do with just you to rely on. What huge strength you have.
Let's hope 2021 is our year.

Thanks@MovingForwards I agree; the heart wants what the heart wants indeed.
Thanks @beanielou, @MuffinTops and @another_casualty
Thanks for the cheerleading and for your faith in me @moneyonmymindsam
My laundrette comments seem to have struck a chord. I kept putting it off because I don’t have a car and the bags are heavy. I dislike lugging washing through the streets. It isn’t great to be with others in a space with no ventilation during a pandemic. It has been done now, but no, it isn’t the highlight of my week.
I’ve spent the past few days hospital visiting and sorting out financial admin. I visited a friend who has a poorly arm. A few frogs eaten too and I’m in a more organised place financially.
I picked up my all in one cooker thingy. I was scared of it at first because it is part pressure cooker and I recall my mum’s one spitting and breathing steam vents in the corner of the kitchen when I was a child. So far, so good… I slow cooked a chicken and made veggie soup. Lentil and bottom of fridge soup... a bit meh, so will buy some feta and a bunch of fresh herbs to give it a boost for tomorrow’s lunch.
I had a call to tell me the house I was due to view on Saturday (when viewings were allowed) has sold! Funnily, I was going to call and cancel so I am not disappointed. Viewing another one as long as that doesn’t get sold too…
There was an issue with the boiler, now resolved.
Tomorrow afternoon more tradespeople due so things are getting done.
I am on little person duty in the morning, so an early pickup for nursery school!
Project work not getting done…
Feeling a bit flat but I’ve felt worse so will keep going until I feel better. Cue singing from Annie: ‘The sun will come out tomorrow…’

You're still doing well DIA , under the additional stress and strains ontop of the normal stuff that you are handling . Of course you'll feel flat at times , but don't forget to take your foot off the pedal more so than not if you can 🦶.I've been wary of using ovens for some time , but that's probably down to chucking too much cooking oil into Sunday roasts . I think I have overcome my fear last Christmas . 🎄
I still have a new unused halogen oven incase I get wary again .I can't remember the last time I was in a launderette 🧺. I remember getting random refunds as a kid .Anyway , hope things keep going in the right direction .
I'll leave it there ☀️..8 -

Sorry about your relative's amputation - but glad she came through.
You sound like you are making a real contribution in sorting her flat out - with trades people etc.
Hope you find the desk you want soon. Mine came from there - and as MF said - you can decent ones quite cheaply.
Swimming sounds lovely - I miss it. I think I want my second vaccine first though before going again.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I've just delivered a small person to nursery. It is quite nice getting up and going early, walking, then chatting with a 3 year old first thing in the morning is invigorating
Last night I kept working on my project and met my deadline. Well almost... the deadline was yesterday at 5pm and I got it in for 11pm...
Picked up olives, tomatoes, feta and some mint chocolate. Going to make a Greek salad.
I have days when I wake up and my joints are completely fine and i can walk quickly. Today is such a day.
Tradespeople appointment this afternoon. There isn't a doorbell so I will need to set up camp near the front door so I don't miss them.
More project work today is the plan.
Gratitudes:
Conversations with a three year old
No pain
Good coffee
