Keep an eye on g-tree and other local selling sites, someone may be giving away / selling a suitable table.
Good luck with house hunting, the perfect one is waiting for you and will pop up.
I checked the g-tree site and others but nothing available. I guess with all the new WFH they are being snapped up.
Fingers crossed on a new home...:)If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

A lovely day here. Crisp and sunny. Being in the sunshine lifted my mood
I went to Mr T and came back with lots of fresh fruit and salad stuff. I also picked up some undies as my new weight requires new ones! Threw out old stuff
The traps are down for mice and that alone makes me feel better.
A friend is going to drive me to IK3A on Friday to buy a desk/table so I can work.
Next week the washing machine will be sorted out and disconnected.
I can see progress and I am starting to feel better. I still need to get to the laundry but can do that tomorrow. Today I want to do some project work (as well as I can without a desk)
House wise I have gone back to wanting the area I wanted to start with!! The other area is cheaper it is true but it is cheaper for a reason. If I am to get a garden in the original area I will need to do some work on the house/garden I expect, as it won't be 'presentable' at the price I am able to pay, so I have to be willing to make it nice myself. I know, be patient...your dream house will come etc...etc...
Edited as just read a diarist who has been away but come back. She always lists her daily gratitudes so I am going to start doing mine...
Sweet strawberries
Good internet connection (better than I used to have)
Enough money to buy nice food
Sunshine

I was just about to suggest 1k3a for a table, I picked mine up for £16 and it does the job.

I have been so fixated on the swimming available in my hoped-for new area that I had been blind to the lido in the area that is so nice it often features in magazines. From what I can see I will be able to swim there for £30 a month. I will not be tied into a long contract either, so can use it while I am here. My bike is back in a few weeks so I can easily cycle there, have a swim and start my day. I just know it will make me feel fabulous plus my muscle tone has gone to put without my bike or having regular exercise, so I need to build my fitness.
I keep talking about going to the laundry but not going. I really mean it today!

I used to have to go to the laundromat when my washing machine broke and I really had to psyche up for it. I found one that was rarely busy but parking was a stress. Then another where parking was easy but it would often get busy. The last place had fairly easy parking and the woman in there was so chatty, but I'm not good with the length of smalltalk required. She was great at it, but I just felt I was like Roland Rat with the odd "Yeh" and smiley nods
Good luck finding your dream home. It will turn up and you're in a great position being a cash buyer now.10 -
All sounding good DIA 😼
It sounds like you've chosen the right location , and eventually you will find the right place .
Hope the week is going well..7 -
So proud of you doing everything on your own. So pleased you are feeling less overwhelmed.
The swimming sounds fabulous
I couldn't find any desks either on local sites so I got a small one from Arrg0s in the end.
Thinking of you and wishing you well,we will get there.
