Thanks for the positive posts
You are right @moneyonmymindsam the empty room is a wonderful sight!Up early today and busy sorting the house straightaway.
One of those days where the more I did the more there seemed to be to do...
I’m starting to think I need a bigger storage unit. I could go and upgrade. It would cost me an additional £150. I seem to be spending a fortune.
I definitely need some more storage boxes and ordered an additional 4 boxes. I bought plastic as they are stronger. In my defence, I intend to reuse them.
I went for a walk to buy one of those screwdrivers with a cross at the bottom as I was struggling to get the shelves down without one.
I contacted the CT office. They re sending a refund form to me. I’d been putting off contacting them. A frog I suppose.
As usual it was a soup day.
I hope everyone had a good day.

Well done on ticking off those jobs. It's irritating when things cost more than we expect - but moving I think can be quite chaotic form that perspective. You are doing well.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am stalled on packing as I need more boxes that have been dispatched but haven't arrived.
I spoke to my neighbour to give them back their keys and get mine back. Gave them some wood and some more paint. My neighbour said he will come tomorrow in the morning to clear out my loft. I'm really thankful for his help.
I spoke to a friend with a car who lives nearby. She can come and help me with the move. Yay
She is also taking my plants to her house/garden.
I have a financial frog to swallow today too.
I have to go back to the storage unit to upscale today too...

I think it pays to have that extra space and being able able to upgrade now sounds sensible. Great news about the friend with the car and the help with the loft.
Thinking of you and wishing you well, keep up with the soup, need your strength.

It's good you're getting some extra hands, hopefully your boxes will arrive in a day or so. Try and rest and make sure you're eating enough for all the extra physical work you're doing.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.8

Catching up, so hurrah for exchanging. You said 'empty room' and I went off into a happy fantasy land, free of hoarders and clutter. Heaven. Hope it all goes well.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
