Thanks @redofromstart and @MovingForwards
Thanks @moneyonmymindsamI haven't plucked up the courage to upgrade the unit. Not sure if it is even possible...Will call after my lunch (soup of course)

The frog for today is to try to upgrade the storage unit. The longer this goes on the worse it will be...not sure why I am putting this off...
I have now cleared the loft!!!! So pleased. There is a standing lamp we couldn't see but I will have to let that go (It needed wiring anyway and took up space)
I had a (rare) brainwave...My sister is taking my fridge freezer so I asked if she can fit a bag and my bike into the van to be dropped off at my relative's address. I am moving to a trendy area with lots of bike shops so I can deal with it there instead of storing it
I have realised there is plenty to do without the boxes so still packing and sorting...
I found a few houses and was going to look at them tomorrow but one thing at time or I'll combust. So will wait until I am in relative's flat then start looking at house which was the plan anyway. I did miss out on a really good house a few weeks ago but I have to trust that the right house will materialise at the right time.
Off to make soup
Wishing everyone a good day.

Make the phone call, eat that frog and it's a quick job ticked off your list.

Thanks, you are right MF
I went to the storage unit. They said I could upgrade and showed me a bigger unit. I said I was on a budget so only had £100 extra. Could they do it within that constraint. Either way I will take it but she said she is going to talk to her manager. I have to go back tomorrow afternoon to sign new paperwork. Feel better for having gone.
The financial phone call will be done on Monday now.
The walk did me good. Joints were not too bad. Stopped off at Mr L for fruits and veggies. All the soup takes loads of veggies...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Good idea to leave the house hunting till you've moved and settled in. You'll be able to devote much more time to it then. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks @Seasidegal58. It does make sense to wait until after this move before I start focusing on houses
Today I can do some more packing as the boxes are coming today instead of monday
I will go back to the storage place to sign for the bigger unit.
A lovely table stored in the loft will be cleaned as full of dust and cobwebs. Yuk. I bought it for my first home in my 20s so it will be nice to use it in my next home 3 decades later! I bought it in Habitat and it still looks contemporary...
I feel so much better with the garage and loft cleared. My neighbour has a car and has agreed for my charity shop offload to go in his garage until they reopen, when they will drop it off. I can finally see this move coming together. I will be aiming to be finished packing by the end of the weekend. I won't be of course, but that is what I will be aiming for.
Soup today, roasted veggies, turkey burgers and salad on the menu.
If anyone shops at Mr L and is into apples, they have superb organic apples in at the moment. Walnuts are on offer. I have toasted some with truffle salt for snacks

You are doing really well DIA. I always find garages, sheds and lofts the worst for packing up. Nice neighbour for offering to store your charity shop drop offs. It is a pain with them not being open now but worse for you as you are moving. Hope the final moving day goes ok.
