Thanks @enthusiasticsaver, @MovingForwards, @Seasidegal58 and @anothercasualty
Thanks @HairyHandofDartmoor. It is the biggest swallow I have swallowed in decades!
Yesterday I cut my hand. My neighbour did the first aid as I had packed the kit! Starting to worry about being somewhere where I don't have friends. Will of course make them...but in the short term...
I managed to upgrade my storage unit. It is a relief. I walked and the exercise did me good as I feel a bit livelier now. I saved about £350 in total on storage costs, so did well. @mark55man previously suggested I accept my relative's rent free offer. I think I will. I will pay bills and costs of course. The price of storage is the same price as being a lodger. If I pay again for rent I will eat into my capital and with prices on the up I can't afford to do that.
Lots of packing yesterday and up early and making good progress again today. I've turned a small room into the things that are staying (CS, taking with me, for friends etc) I need to change all potted plants into long life carrier bags so my old sinks/plant pots can go into storage.
I turned the fridge off. Will clean and get it ready.
Only a few more sleeps now...
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

DIA you will manage without people around. You're a strong, independent woman. Look at everything you've done recently!
When you move write a list of where the important things are like water off tap, gas and electric meters. The emergency numbers for the gas, electric and water suppliers. Then add to the list good trades people as you go along. Keep the list in an easy to access place.
Hope your hand heals quickly.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.7 -
wow - even a long term plan has its last few days!! you're doing great
Unsurprisingly I do agree with your decision to take the offer from you relative. If turns out that you feel you are taking advantage well you can always remedy that later, but for now keep your powder (ie money) dryI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

I stayed in my friend's empty house for five months while I was between houses, only paying utilities, council tax etc, and felt massively guilty initially at not paying rent. But he assured me it was worth it to him knowing the house wouldn't feel unloved and unwanted when he came back to sell it, and would also be less of a target for opportunistic trespassers in the meantime. It worked really well. Good luck with your move, you're doing brilliantly! Far more organised than I was, and it all came together for me in the end.8

You are bound to have a fair amount of emotion over the next few days DIA .
I don't say that lightly .
However, when you finally plonk yourself down into your new temporary abode , I'd say that you will be relieved and very tired .Then the next chapter of your life will be better .
I'll leave it there ..🌞6
