That's a positive result DIA. Are you or your bike guy able to source a second hand one, then you'll be on the road quicker.
There's no stopping you now there's a move date and it's a lovely day to be outside.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident and glad you are ok. Very glad that there were witnesses and you have the cash to repair or replace though.

I'm very glad that you weren't injured in the accident and that you have the cash for a new bike. I hope you can find a solution quickly. How fortunate that you had two witnesses as people can be such bare faced liars in these situations and I hate to see people profiting from deceit (I speak from experience here!).
You're getting things done re packing and arranging insurance, very productive.

Thanks @enthusiasticsaver. I miss my bike hugely. It is almost part of my identity. If I turn up somewhere by foot people ask "where's your bike"
Thanks @moneyonmymindsam The weather makes such a difference and outside drying is the tops!
Thanks @MovingForwards I probably won't go down the secondhand route as I am super fussy about bikes and only enjoy using certain ones. I'll save on the cost instead.
Thanks @savingholmes and @jwil Thanks to the witnesses intervening I now have options and I'm not hurt so it could be worse
Haha @mark55man I wouldn't do that anyway
Thanks @Sunshine_girl2 I feel like I'm plodding on the move but as you say, I'm getting there.
Thanks @HairyHandofDartmoor without the witnesses I would have been stuck for sure. Barefaced lying is accurate I'm afraid. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

On Friday the garden clearers came and took away my bulky waste. Feels good to have all the clutter gone. I let a desk go that I never really liked, ironing board, lawnmower, old garden box and some other junk. Best of all the gardener cleared the bits and pieces from the garage and then swept it all through. I will miss them when I move.
All the garden items are packed and plants repotted. I just have to clear the big tubs of dirt so they can be packed too.
Yesterday I was a bit unwell so no progress. One of the reasons I am moving the day before I need to is somedays I am unwell and can't tell when those days will be. I'm learning to not panic if I 'lose' a day. Doing this alone means I have to depend on myself so I have to get as much as I can done when able but not exhaust myself, a difficult balance.
Today I decided on one of those relaxing music stations instead of being dripped C19 panic and world events on the stations I usually get up to.
I'm feeling good so doing tasks neglected yesterday like dishes for example Haha.
Washing done and after this post I will make soup
I redirected my post this morning
I sorted bills and cancelled DDs and SOs
Most of the kitchen items packed this morning.
Shelves still need taking down so will do those.
Bike-wise I'm just going to take it to my relative's flat and get it sorted out from there. So. So, missing it but I need to focus my energy on the move right now.
Will pay for the storage today
A long post!
Oh and good news I am into the next stone down. I have lost 13 kilos since January 2020. I'm very proud of that

Plenty of cyclists wear helmet cams, because of what you experienced.
Well done losing as much weight as you have.
You're doing great getting through everything, have a good day and try to get some fresh air.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.8
