I agree with SH, prioritise your move out as that's where you're under a time limit. Moving from storage to your home, take your time.

Thanks everyone
Popping back before anymore 'prioritise removal' comments appear. Of course! If I don't I will be stuck! I'm just commenting about other stuff too, but I have 2 quotes lined up and will try for one more whilst I am away. Really am gone now...

Congratulations on your bursary and on exchanging contracts on your house sale 🎉🎉🎉. I hope all goes well with helping your relative and I hope that your move goes smoothly. It will be stressful but it will all be worth it in the end 🙂.
Am I right in thinking that you haven't found a house to buy yet and are moving into rented accomodation? It will be easier to house hunt when you are on the spot 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thanks @savingholmes
Thanks @HairyHandofDartmoor. You are right in thinking I don't yet have a house to buy. I will be living in my relatives empty flat whilst I search. I will be based a hour away so will need to jump on a train if something suitable comes up
I am back from my caring duties. It was hard mentally and physically but there were lots of laughs too. I was glad to get home. I am tired but still managed to take some steps towards moving.
First things first: This evening a removal firm came on time, looked around and gave me a reasonable quote. Furthermore I get a good feeling with them. I have another company coming to quote tomorrow but I am pretty sure I will use the firm from today.
Under the sink stuff decluttered or packed.
Light shades taken down and wrapped.
Clothes rolled and packed (thanks for the tip @mothernerd)
Suitcase opened and started to pack things that I want with me, and not in storage
Chased a payment that was suspended when I closed old account. They will now pay into the new account.Yay
Tomorrow I will be getting a second removals quote and researching storage units. I will see if I can get any more storage boxes, buy some more tape and pack all the garden equipment.
I will call a man who has moved rubbish from my garden in the past to see if he can take some large items like the lawnmower.
I have not focused on my eating all week and feel worse for it! I will be glad to get back to veggies soups and healthy suppers
It is good to be back in the swing of things.
Hope everyone is ok.

Welcome back, glad it went well and hope you can have some early nights to rest up.
Good luck with the packing and keep making yummy soups!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.8 -

I slept well and my energy is back a bit...
I have the removals sorted! I got 2 comparisons. The quote I am going with seems reasonable and the firm appear good. Lots of positive reviews online. It feels a relief to know this is done...
I made soup
Washing done X2 and dried outside. That's right. Outside!
Decluttered a black bin bags worth
Dishes X2
All garden and outdoor equipment packed
I had a chat with my neighbour. I am leaving on good terms with them, something I am pleased about. She knows I was upset about the way the extension was done but it acted in my favour really as it galvanised me into action.
Refund form for TVL completed and sent.
I switched from sorting storage to garden and outside things because the weather was so good. I pruned some plants when I should not have as the frost might still get them. Ah well. I need to garden again tomorrow and pot the plants I am taking (a friend is looking after them for me)
I called someone about getting rid of my lawnmower and a few other things.
I have done well today and feel I have progressed

Fab news on having decluttered and sorted a removal companyAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Another good sleep. I think my body is relieved to be back in my own bed.
More gardening. I need all the plants I want to take potted up. Nearly there.
I cycled to the buy some groceries and post the TVL refund form. At 10.30 I was starving so I ate what I had prepped for lunch (brown rice noodles and turkey mince)
Todays to do is pretty much a repeat of yesterday: gardening, clothes washing, packing.
I will prioritise finding some storage units and getting some quotes.
I hope whoever is reading this has a good day
