Today I got knocked off my bike on the way to the storage unit. First the driver denied responsibility but then a man came from nowhere and said he saw what happened. He was a solicitor. He gave me his card and took a photo of the driver, her passport and my bike. Then another man got out of his car and said he had it all filmed on his dash cam. He gave me his card. She soon changed her tune and began to say sorry. I feel like I had guardian angels today...
I feel bereft without my bike. But she said she will pay for repair so watch this space.
I walked to the storage unit after carrying my bike home in my arms like an injured baby.
I have negotiated 3 weeks half price (instead of 2 weeks) and 15% off if I pay upfront instead of 10%. They have plenty of units for the next few weeks so I will make a final decision and pay tomorrow. I feel better now I have this done. I will initially store for 6 months. I can't see it being less time than that.
I heard back from the rubbish clearance people who will be coming tomorrow evening
I bought some tape and 3 big boxes so I can do some more packing this evening.
I donated some canned food to the food bank.
A good day really as I did not end up in A and E and I so easily could have!
I hope you are having a good day and staying safeIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Oh no about the bike. Glad you are OK. Furious at the woman who should be buying you a new bike without any quibble but some people hey.
You have been on a good run of getting it all done, keep your strength up with good food and remember to take time to rest when you can.
I am thrilled for you DIA at the move, really can't wait for the new chapter 😘 xxx
