ThatKiss said:On the books front, when I bought my current flat I ended up moving twice in the space of 6 weeks. A big box of books were deposited at the charity shop in between the two moves. Sod moving them again!
Now, if only I could bring myself to let go of my CDs and DVDs!Just a thought 😼5 -
@mark55man, @another_casualty, @beanielou, @MovingForwards, @savingholmes ,@moneyonmymindsam, @RosaBernicia, Thank you for the positive posts
It helps massively at the moment...
The storage boxes were delivered but in place of two storage boxes I’ve been sent solar rainbow lights! I now have to take them back to the store. It defeats the point of a delivery! Also ice outside so I’ll have to leave it until Sunday when the weather is set to warm up.
Up early and another two boxes filled. My shelves are bare and it is starting to look like a house instead of a home. Two books decluttered. Today I want to get the house organised and hoovered as it is chaos again. When the house is a mess it sends a signal to my brain ‘you are not in control’ and when it is tidy and one of life’s obstacles emerges, the signal is ‘you are fine. You’ve got this.’
Dishes done. Recycling cleared. More dishes done. Soup prepped.
Feeling odd stuck in this limbo, not knowing if my buyer will proceed to contracts, fearful I will have to start this whole process over again. Have to stay positive! I have fairy lights on to keep my spirits up and I’m burning geranium oil.
My hair needs washing and my skin looks unhappy so I will do a face scrub and face pack after washing my hair. Might even treat my eyebrows to some attention!
The joys of lockdown…
I hope you are warm and cosy

If the company have sent the wrong items, they should collect and replace. Contact them and ask they sort it out.
All will become clear with the house soon, the buyer is probably worrying about you pulling out. You can't change what is meant to be, but it may be worth contacting the EA and ask them to find out when the buyer is looking to complete.
Have a pamper afternoon, you'll feel so much better for it.

Yes DIA . As MF said , it's their fault for delivering wrong items .I think that from what you are going through , is the sheer stress of waiting for the moment of exchange of contracts . Sometimes what we forget ( because we are majorly dressed ) , is that solicitors and estate agents have others on the go at the same time .The vibes have been very good so far , and although I could be wrong it seems the test was the last payment you made and going half way to keep everyone on side .Hooefully everything will be finalised very soon 🤞.7

Thanks @MovingForwards and @another_casualty. You are both right and the vibes are good.
I haven't forgotten the EA and solicitors have other people to help. However, I am paying thousands of pounds to them to do a job, so I am expecting them to do it, that's all. I expect it will go through but understandably it is a stressful time until it does.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. The EA is the one I would pester as you pay them a lot more.
Always look for a positive to counteract the negative. You've packed more stuff away, that's a big positive!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.6 -
I would make the seller collect too.
Hope things go through soon for you. Well done on packing more of your stuff away. Nearly there now.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am sure all will go through ok but as you say a worrying time.
Contact the seller & ask them to replace goods with what you ordered & collect wrong items.
