My sister is in a similar position as she has a buyer for her house but can't find a suitable house in the location she wants to move to, but she can stay with a relative for a while so I'm sure it will all get sorted eventually.
I think low mood is very common at the moment due to lockdown, the bad weather, etc. I've definitely been having the January blues this month and will be glad to see the back of this month. But the days are getting longer and spring is a bit closer so we must hang in there.
Olives are a good snack I think. I haven't touched alcohol since losing my mum two and a half years ago as it makes me melancholy and I feel much better for abstaining. I was craving chocolate just now but there's none in the house, so I've just had some olives and that has helped a lot.
You are right about mood and yes, I am hanging on in there
My ability to tolerate alcohol lessens with each passing year!

Welcome to the new world of a small mobile computer at your fingertips. Just keep a written note of important phone numbers in case your battery goes flat and you need to get hold of someone. Use wi-fi on your phone when home and there's quite a few useful apps around.
Alcohol is hit and miss and depends on mood when drinking. I've not had any for over a year now.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.8 -

A difficult few days as my joints flared up and I was in pain and not weight bearing. I kept flexing my joints but rested on Saturday. Today it was not as bad but still quite bad. I was worried about going out and getting stuck. Then decided to use my bike, go to the shops and use a trolley to support my weight in the store. The cycle helped my joints and I managed the shop fine. It will go in the end.
Getting out and the fresh air was good for my mood. I even pottered in the garden for 10 minutes.
The really good news is I set up the phone. That has been such a big frog I had to keep taking bites out of it until I ate it all. It seems to have taken a long time, so glad it is now a reality.
Made some soup
Cooked chicken with celeriac, butternut squash and turnip.
The house is a mess, yes, but it could be worse. It really could. Standing does not hurt my joints so no excuses for not doing the dishes...
Hope your Sunday is going well.

It's been so cold lately DIA, seems to get right in the joints and bones. Have you got a hot water bottle as that provides relief, even if it's psychological.
Do get out when it's sunny, the garden is an easy win due to how close it is. I've been in mine the last 2 days, not doing anything just looking around.
The house isn't a mess, it's a controlled de-cluttering and things need to come out so you can see what needs to be done.
You'll be more settled soon when the sale goes through.
Try and do meditation, yoga, mindfulness, 10 minute pamper or something else just for you. As it's easy to lose sight of yourself with so much going on.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.7 -

Boo to your joints. Hope you ease off soon.

Thanks @beanielou and @MovingForwards My joints are improving. And yes MF I am thinking of both meditation and yoga in the mornings...
Stock on for soup later. Washing on. The smell of chicken stock and the buzz of the washing machine and the radio is the nicest way to begin the day for me, especially now the mornings are lighter earlier.
I've added a kilo, so today it will be soup, salad and fruit all day. I'd like the kilo gone by the end of the week.
I feel like I'm on an endless loop of trying to get the house tidy, cooking, and trying to complete my To Do list. I miss the sea.
A house came up that would have been suitable. It had gone to SSTC within 24 hours. It was in my price range and met all of my criteria and had a lovely south facing garden. A bit disappointed but not hugely disappointed as other houses will come up and I won't be homeless. I'm hoping for a date this week for EOC. We shall see...
Cycling seemed to help my joints so will do that by going to bike shop to pump tyres and get a small cable I ordered in.
I'm going to pot plants I am taking today as long as it stays dry.

You've been very busy this morning.
Forget trying to tidy, it isn't happening when moving. Just keep boxing things up and stacking them in a room.
Enjoy plant potting, very therapeutic and gets you outside for a bit.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.6 -
It rained yesterday so no garden for me.
Joints better yesterday but worse today. What is going on?
I had a long cycle to another area. (Cycling does not hurt) I got a piece fixed on my bike. At first they suggested replacing the unit for £34 but they found the faulty piece and ordered and fitted it for £4. An MSE result me thinks
A good phone call catchup with a friend. I am messaging more because it is easier with the new phone, so I’ve been in contact with another friend too.
Decluttered a broken blind from the kitchen window. Who has a broken blind?! Anyway, Spring will be here soon and I want to let more light in.
Jumpers, gloves and woolies washed and out to dry.
Lovely soup made again.
An application done for work. I didn’t procrastinate for a change or look at the deadline. I did it immediately…progress, not perfection.
The house news? The drain issue from 1948? Their solicitor asked for me to pay indemnity insurance but my solicitor says that is ridiculous so he said no. We are awaiting a response now…
Reconciled my finances. Paying the CC in full has left me slightly more than I thought, so I should get through the month ok after all.
As AC would say…I’ll leave it there

Regarding the joints etc : Radox does wonders imho . Not sure if you have a bath or shower 🚿🛀but a radox bath does wonders . A hot water bottle was mentioned earlier , which sounds good in the cold snap we are in ☃️. Having said all of that , don't forget that you have been running and racing and cycling 🚴♀️Everywhere more than usual and you are bound to be feeling those kind of symptoms imho . Radox showers are ok also.We are in for a spell of heavy rain for the rest of the week where I am 💦. Some places up north have heavy snow .Glad you're getting good use of phone already .📱
Hope your broadband is okay now . Mine has been playing up a bit here and there over the last week . Trying to login to the bbc iPlayer has been a pita , but I've gone through a few troubleshooting steps and problems are minimal for now 🤞. Too many people all doing the same thing I guess .
I suppose ..I'll leave it there 😺5 -
