Sugarbaby - I'm glad your daughter is feeling better.I must look up that lady and her wardrobe again Wednesday. I'm convinced that last time I was looking at the wrong one. Have you got a link?:)
https://dailyconnoisseur.blogspot.com/2020/01/capsule-wardrobe-winter-dressing.html
That link has the the new video about England if you scroll down. She has a link at the top called Videos so you could look back at some of her older videos to see her past 10 item wardrobes.:)0 -
Evening all,
Not much time to post tonight but I'm pleased to say I've continued my baby steps
showered, styled hair, ear rings, mascara, wedged boots instead of trainers and jeans/coloured top instead of joggers/black top.
Hopefully I'll have more time to post tomorrow.
Take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

I thought this worth sharing from facebook .......If you don’t already know this .... The Body Shop will accept ALL your cosmetic containers ... plastic , glass ( apart from combustible stuff like paper etc) .... shampoo bottles , tubes of make up ALL OF THEM ... doesn’t matter what make of product and they will go for recycling ... the company they are working with sends nothing to Landfill ..
BUT if no one uses this facility it will be scrapped so please use it
Thank you for this0 -
Sugarbaby - so pleased for you and your daughter that she is on the mend, I hope that you will now be able to concentrate on yourself for a while.
Ellidee - thank you for the heads up on The Body Shop.
1LuckyLady- you are doing so well
maman- great idea walking to the far post box, I need to get a new battery put in my pedometer, OH has a stash of batteries somewhere:)
wednesday- thank you for the link re capsule wardrobe.
Jellybaby- well done your mum. My best friend and I joked that when we cannot get our skinny jeans/jeggings pulled on any more we are going to have some fitted with velcro seams we are 69 and 70:rotfl:
LL - I hope that you can kick your lurgy into touch soon, they do seem to hang on though.
Drawingaline- I hope that you had a great time at the shows.
Moll- fantastic you moving out of your comfort zone like that.
I have been in scruffs today, one of my delights is watching the wild birds in my garden, OH put up/moved some feeder poles around for me. I unpacked a delivery of bird foods and got everything decanted into plastic drums and put away in cupboards in the garage, all stocked up now if we get a cold or snowy spell.
I seem to have tweaked a thigh muscle in the process, but hopefully that will soon pass, I have an Osteopath appointment on Tuesday i not.
I ate a healthy supper of oven roasted haddock and steamed vegetables, and made a tray of less healthy flapjack, made with oats, seeds, nuts and dried cranberries, sour cherries and apricot pieces, we'll forget the golden syrup, butter, sugar and peanut butter.:) I rarely eat anything like cake or chocolate, but have been thinking about flapjack for a few days, itch is now scratched. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Wore the outfit that I'd picked out today but didn't feel comfortable in it, just a little bit too tight. More incentive to lose a bit of weight. Picked out an outfit for tomorrow which is looser - a long jumper over leggings and pumps.
Wore some mascara to work today, planning to continue this and slowly ease into wearing a little bit more makeup daily.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I have come up with a realistic cleaning routine as well. The daily, weekly, monthly and yearly chores to do around the house! I have stuck the daily one on the fridge until I remember it completely. I want to be very organised this year
im trying to be more organised, would you be willing to share what you are aiming to do ? I need some inspiration
We had a charity bag through the door to be collected on Tuesday , and ive filled that up to the max, with unwanted items , that are good . Hopefully they will make them a few bob , and im pleased ive got a few more things out the house . in my uncluttering task0 -

I thought this was quite a helpful plan. I really need to keep on top of things as I have a lot of pets!

I was also looking on YouTube at a professional cleaner who has a YouTube channel called Clean Your Space. She has some great advice too.2025 GOALS

That's a very straightforward list Wednesday. Thanks for sharing it. DH does most of our cleaning but I share in the everyday tasks (like leaving the kitchen and bathrooms as you'd hope to find them).
I need to be more regular giving the sink a good clean. Years ago when we had frequent bowls of soapy water it was easier but nowadays most washing up is in the dishwasher. I tend to put a bit of biological washing powder/liquid in and leave it overnight. That works well but I don't do it often enough.
Good to be back to normal today. I've just taken the wreath down from the door so no trace of Christmas left.:)
I have two main make up looks tara. There's my everyday one which is generally very light and then one for going out in the evening when it's fairly dressy. The main difference is foundation. I don't really like anything too heavy so tend to wear a tinted moisturiser. During the day I wear nothing other than serum/moisturiser for most of the year (try to get a bit of tan on my face in summer) and when I'm looking pasty I'm currently using Clarins Beauty Flash Balm as that gives a bit of glow. Sometimes I'll put blusher on my cheeks too.
As well as that I do my eyebrows and/or have them tinted and always mascara and lippy. I'm more likely to use a highlighter on my browbones (and sometimes cheekbones) than eye shadow. I don't think I look 'made up' IYSWIM but I feel well groomed.
I've got a meeting later so will plan my outfit for that. It's smart casual so probably jeans/jeggings and a smart jumper. If it stays dry I'll wear my black, suede boots.0 -
Hello Ladies
As you are aware I've dipped in and out over the past year or so and very much enjoyed reading your posts and your successes (and failures!)
I think my 'word' for 2020 is going to be Positivity. Unfortunately I had a stroke just before Christmas (all OK now, thank goodness) that has highlighted some other health issues that I think will take a little while to get resolved. BUT, in spite of that I went to Scotland for New Year with family and friends who looked after me and I had the most wonderful Hogmanay on my first ever visit to Scotland. Ive got a few nice events planned during the year. DH had bought me a very nice Boots pack of face creams and serums so a little pampering will be scheduled - lots of things to look forward to including a brand new Great Grandson in AprilSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Couldn't read and run silva. Reading that gave me quite shock. So pleased that you are feeling better now and that you enjoyed Hogmanay in Scotland. Keep in touch.0
