I did so much cleaning and housework yesterday, about 5 hours. I haven't done that much housework in one day in my life!:rotfl: I still have to deep clean the oven and the kitchen window frame but I will do that tomorrow. I really like the new mop I bought as it goes around corners really easily.
I am trying to make the house feel a bit nicer so I am going to treat myself to fresh flowers in my living room every week. My husband bought me some lovely orange, red and yellow roses yesterday.:) I had been keeping some fairy lights in the flower vase so I put the lights by my bed instead.
It was freezing this morning when I went out. I hadn't dressed warmly enough but I didn't want to turn round and walk home as I couldn't remember how long it took to walk to the MH centre and I didn't want to be late. I had my first therapy appointment today and the psychologist seemed very nice. I didn't bother to look around the chazzers afterwards as it was too cold and I had forgotten my gloves as well!0 -

I was also looking on YouTube at a professional cleaner who has a YouTube channel called Clean Your Space. She has some great advice too.[/QUOTE]
Thanks for this Wednesday some good ideas to follow x0 -
Hello ladies
I am patiently waiting until I finish work and I can go home and collect my parcel from next door, it's my next lot of stuff from Beauty Pie - I'm regularly using a few of their items for my skin, and now that I have run out of a few long-term products I had, I've opted to try new ones from them, instead
The only makeup I have tried of theirs is the foundation and I didn't really rate it, but I have found their skincare to be fab so far x0 -

Back to work for me today, was in yesterday for inset though. We got to do a well being activity in the afternoon and I did a big hill walk even though it ended up throwing it down! Visibility was bad at the top and it was windy. We were all wet through, its times like this that I wish that I still had a bath!
40 lengths tonight down at the gym so I've over 16.000 steps in today. I will have to brave the scales at some point!0 -

Hello Ladies,
Candygirl Welcome back
My daughter is slowly continuing to improve. She was actually able to eat seedless grapes throughout yesterday.
She was able to speak to one of the Doctors from our surgery. The Doctor ignored almost all of her symptoms and decided she was simply having a bout of sinusitis.
The Doctor told my daughter she was sending a prescription for a nasal spray to a local chemist for her to collect, not even taking into account that my daughter is still too weak and fatigued to walk to the chemist.
My daughter has to pay for a prescription and I suspect that she could buy a nasal spray cheaper than getting one on prescription from the chemist.
My daughter has never been this ill in her life before. She has never been aware of the protocol of how she has to keep her employer informed of her illness because, she never normally takes days off work due to illness. In the past she has only had a cold or hay fever, neither of which has resulted in her having to take even a day off work for any past employers or her current employer.
I have not been feeling at all well myself but I have not had any vomiting or nausea so it is unlikely that my daughter has passed her viral infection on to me.0 -
Good morning lovely ladies...
SUgarbaby.......So sorry to hear that things aren't going well for you and your daughter, although good she is finally making a bit of progress. . Her GP sounds like a waste of space. How arrogant. Try and take care of yourself too, although I appreciate it's difficult when you are looking after someone else,
Well I'm afraid my lurgy - whatever it is - seems to be going from bad to worse,.....;). I can now add virulent diarrhoea to my symptoms. Hey ho. Just have to ride it out and let nature take its course.
These viruses are opportunistic little blighters, they go for the jugular always attacking our weak spots. I am ok (ish) - just getting very fed up now. Not the best start to a new decade......once again I'm housebound today. I'll soon be going stir crazy at this rate.
Never mind, I'm warm, there's plenty of food, I've got some nice books and there's always Netflix.
Candy......how lovey to see you back. I've been wondering where you are.
Sheila.....gosh you are doing well with your fitness regime. :T. Well done you.
Moll.....what a fabulous invite. Thank you. Hopefully I will be able to accept your kind invitation when I'm back on form. You're right, McArthur Glenn isn't far from me.
Hope everyone is ok and that all the poorly ones pick up soon.0 -
I've no medical training sugarbaby but I really can't see how sinusitis (which I've often had myself) could be diagnosed from not being able to keep food down for a week!:( Poor girl.:( It does seem that she's starting to improve in spite of everything with TLC from mum:A. Is it worth her getting the prescription dispensed? It depends on her 'sinusitis' symptoms but I find OTC decongestant pills more effective and easier to use than a spray (just an opinion, not medical advice.;)).
That sounds absolutely exhausting Sheila although I'm full of admiration for all the exercise you're getting.
It's fashion day in my paper again. Today there was a headline about the top trends lurking in your wardrobe. The suggestion was that you should really call your wardrobe your 'archive'.:D Suggestions were skinny jeans, high boots, blazers, trenchcoats and more. There were also things that I know don't suit me like white jeans, large white shirts and polo necks but the principle is excellent. Very mse:money: When I read on the polo neck thing is really about layering or wearing a chunky jumper with a floaty skirt. The boots thing suggests getting winter/spring wear from what we'd traditionally think of as a summer dress. I think we're already ahead of the pack on here and if you don't have your own 'archive' then the CSs have someone else's that you can repurpose!:D
I've had a good pamper session this morning. I did a defuzz too as I'm going to a dance on Saturday and I'll have to wear sheer tights. I added some fake tan to my body lotion too as I'll be wearing short sleeves.
It's dry and brightish here today but I don't plan to go anywhere. I made a start on the ironing mountain (not done anything since before the holiday:o) yesterday and I must press on with that.0
