Shame about the Easter eggs chanie. Were they still edible?
There seems to be a groundswell of opinion developing about what's happening (or not happening) in churches this weekend. At a practical level, people can't understand what's the difference between services being filmed in a church compared with a vicarage or similar. Or perhaps why churches can't be open for private prayer (managed in the same way as supermarkets).
On a secular level, I feel much the same about garden centres. I'm sure they could be managed like supermarkets to allow people access to things to grow in their gardens, including food, during lockdown. The idea of loads of plants being destroyed seems wrong.
I suppose, when it comes down to it, it depends on what's considered essential and important. If you use the decision on off licences as a yardstick then there's not a lot of logic being applied. I'm 'happy' to go along with the government advice/instructions BUT I'm sure I'm not alone in needing to have things transparent and properly explained.
As well as usual chores, I've cleared out another cupboard this morning and chatted with a friend on the phone. DH took a call from a friend in Australia so good to have a different perspective. I'm also doing those BBC '10 Today' exercises. They're very gentle as designed for older people but it feels good to stretch and uses a wider range of muscles than just walking. Yesterday improved as DD1 walked to us for her exercise and dropped off (on the doorstep) a book and a magazine and a lovely Easter card (with an embroidered daffodil) that DGD had made for us.we had a 10 minute chat at a distance so that cheered me up. Today I'm definitely going for a walk as I missed it yesterday.
The fashion pages today were all for leggings as the thing to wear during lockdown. So I'm the height of fashion!!
ETA: I had originally typed that I thought it was wrong 'for loads of pants to be destroyed'.I spoke with a friend yesterday whose wife makes luxury lingerie. She's donating pairs of luxury knickers from her stock to the staff at their local hospital in Waltham Forest so it must have been a Freudian slip.

I'm going to have to try and order some.
Has anyone on here tried ordering clothes at the moment?

Maman check you out as the height of fashion. I love leggings and will continue to wear them. Its lovely of your friend to donate undies to the hospital (is it Whipps Cross?)

I just ordered a pair of leggings, a pair of cropped leggings, some black vests and some joggers (for husband) from Amazon. They are doing this thing now where you can say if you want it all together so less trips to your house so that is supposed to be delivered to me Monday.
I went for a walk in the park today as I did get bored of doing the street walk. I did 50 minutes. It's such nice weather. There are signs up in the park now to keep 2 metres away from people.
I drew up a meal plan yesterday. I'm going to make a vegetable coconut milk curry tonight and have the leftovers tomorrow night.
While I'm waiting for the delivery I do have some pyjama shorts that I might be able to get away with wearing outside as I dyed them black. I might wear them out one day and see if I get any odd looks.2025 GOALS

I didn't ask which hospital chanie. They just said local to them so you might be right.
That's a good idea about the single Amazon delivery Wednesday. Hope it doesn't come in a load of separate and huge boxes! All I've ordered were the Shoezone 'Skechers' and they came rapidly. I am tempted to buy the leopard print dress from Sainsbury's but it seems wrong to go near the Tu department. Is that daft?
It's really hot here (about 19 degrees) and I was melting on our walk as I had a short coat on. I might even wear a skirt tomorrow.

Yes I quite agree I'm wrestling with my conscience if I should order anything online. DH had ordered a hose for his pressure washer before I had realised not really an essential item .
Very warm here sat and read some more of my book, chatted to a couple of friends on the phone then braved Waitrose this afternoon. I had spoken to my elderly yesterday and asked if she needed anything and I'm glad I did because she had a Tesco order come on Monday and almost half of it was missing. The same had happened with my daughter so I may cancel the delivery I managed to get for the 21st as it was very good at Waitrose and managed to get most things, on the fabbing front I did put on some nice jeans and top as well as some make up ! Actually feel quite relieved now knowing I don't have to go out shopping.
Hope your Easter eggs were edible chanie

Oh dear, I must confess I have ordered stuff online. I thought I was keeping the economy afloat........
I was discussing the economy with my Mum earlier and we were talking about not only are shops, the leisure industry etc loosing money, but the government is losing income from VAT if people aren't spending.
