Good morning lovely ladies, haven't posted for a while, but have been dropping by and reading.
Like Chanie I was upset at reading comments made in respect of Sugarbaby, but held off replying as I didn't want to start the poster off again.
Some days I have been well "fabbed up" but others just enough to look tidy, with a bit of lippy and perfume. I am classed as extremely clinically vulnerable and have spent the past 2 weeks trying to organise internet food shopping - been very tricky and my DOH who is late 70's and should be staying in in his own right as well as to protect me has had to go shopping for fresh foods. Everything that comes into the house is disinfected or quarantined in the garage/utility for 3 days, yesterday he again shopped wearing gloves and face protection (cyclists tube thing that they wear on head/around neck) and on return stripped off (robe and slippers awaiting him) and bunged everything in the washing machine.
We are so fortunate to live in a very small town in a rural area and have a large garden to work/exercise/play in.
Sending warmest wishes to all who post and lurk and hope that you and your loved ones can stay safe and well. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)9 -
Good morning everyone and what a beautiful day it is will be sitting outside later. Like you Maman we indulged in some wine last night watched the lovely Timothy West and Prunella Scales on their canal journeys, it was so uplifting seeing them travel round the Norfolk Broads. Savingft liked the sound of your delicious curry, I think we have all been getting very inventive with the ingredients we have, we usually have a roast on Sundays but as the weather is looking nice I think we will have some chicken fajitas with salad. I was so fortunate that I had just had my hair cut , I have very thick hair that has a mind of its own and has gone curly as I have got older but heaven knows what it will look like if I miss my next few appointments.
LL don't worry about doing 10,000 steps I know you do as much as you are able to do, I regularly do 15,000 but haven't managed that since the lockdown. I am going to sort out some summer clothes today then enjoying this beautiful day.B)
Tried to sign in this morning and got locked out again, but jiggled about putting my email in instead of username and bingo

I am well stocked up with porridge! I went for a cycle ride today - I live near a well known beauty spot. The car park is closed to traffic as is the area so it was a lovely ride not having to dodge the traffic that is normally queuing at this time of year to get in! Very surreal though. Lucky I live in a small village in an isolated part of the country so no excuse not to enjoy a walk or cycle as its easy to keep distance from people.Debt free and Keeping on Track7

Hello Ladies,
I managed to get 11 hours of sleep last night.Totally unheard of for me normally. Obviously I needed it.
The sun is shining in South London again today. I will be staying inside again today, as too many people are out and about in this part of London and keeping 2 metres distance from every one will be difficult.
I am watching the last 2 episodes of Noughts & Crosses on the BBC IPlayer. I never did get around to reading the book this programme is based on, but it is on my book wish list now, so I will be reading it sometime this year. I am loving this TV adaptation of the book though.
My plan for the rest of today is just to get more rest, watch more TV programmes and films and eat healthy, balanced meals.

It's a glorious day here too. I had a message from DD2, they're having a BBQ in their garden. She's also taken her MIL to live with them for the duration. She doesn't cope well on her own at the best of times so it makes sense. We're fortunate in having a garden too so may well sit out later with a book.
I've had a good pamper session this morning including a defuzz as, if this weather continues, my legs might have to come out of hibernation.
You seem to be managing Maddie despite all your health issues. It's a difficult one about shopping/packaging coming into the house. We're just washing hands after putting everything away although I did hear someone advise that we could copy the Queen and decant cereal into Tupperware containers! There is so much conflicting advice around but apparently it would need to be a huge concentration of virus on a surface, like packaging or a newspaper, to be dangerous. We're being careful with mail though as we know that 50% of the staff in our local sorting office are off sick/isolated.
Despite the sun, we'll be having a roast this evening. I thoroughly enjoy it and it's part of my hanging on to routine/normality.

Glad to read you are well stocked up with porridge. Mrs Porridge. Somehow I would have expected that from you.
Sugarbaby - I just remembered that I had a dream about you last night! I think it's because I read that lots of people were ignoring social distancing at Brockwell Park yesterday and I was saying to my husband that you said the same about people in your housing block. It's probably because I used to live in south London and know both areas.I can't remember what the dream was about, just that you were in it.
I was feeling really achy in my legs and I looked on my phone at how long the walk I did this morning should have taken and it was 52 minutes. I must have been speed walking to have done it in 40 minutes, lol! I might do that same walk for a few days and see if I can do it quicker. It doesn't really matter what walk I do as it's all main roads that I'm using at the moment as the pavements are wider. I'm listening to podcasts so I won't get too bored doing the same route.
I went out and cleaned out my patio and moved my washing line to the back of the garden and moved the garden chairs and table into the patio. I have a feeling I will be using it quite a lot in the next few months! Such a lovely day here.2025 GOALS

Wednesday it is a shame you could not remember the dream
Apparently 3,000 people descended into Brockwell Park yesterday, totally ignoring the Government's Social Distancing Guidelines, so today Lambeth Council took the decision to lock up Brockwell Park as they were appalled that so many people were just pleasing themselves in this corona virus crisis.

I feel so sorry for women who start an unwanted pregnancy at the moment. I'd have the willpower to "Just say No" until life got back to normal myself if I couldnt do whatever I decided re contraceptives/abortion if need be/etc - but I do get that some women wouldnt.
It was always a huge weight off my mind back in the day to know I could absolutely guarantee I could have an abortion if ever need arose - though, thankfully, I never had to. I do worry for women wondering how they are supposed to manage about that if need be at the moment. This coming from the bitter user previously known as ceridwen (and serveral other user names) who was sterilised in her mid twenties just incase some young man wanted to impregnate her but she never did find that young man, unsurprisingly.Ladies, please ignore her sanctimonious posts and just be glad its only online and she isn't your neighbour! Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama12 -
Hello, everyone, hello to the new faces too. Lovely to hear from you.Well I'm done for, washing, cleaning, weeding the patio......time for dinner and put my feet up. My hands are like sandpaper so going to give them some TLC whilst I watch a nice film, the G&T is optional .......but I probably will. 😂9
