Hello Ladies,
It has turned into another lovely sunny day in South London, after a drizzly start. I went to Savers in Streatham to stock up and the staff were rigorously enforcing the social distancing shopping rules, so once again I had a pleasant shopping experience and did not have to worry about other shoppers not keeping their distance.
My washing machine and tumble dryer are back in use today. We are generating a lot less washing now that we are staying at home, which is great.
I have cooked a big pot of steak mince with onion and sliced carrots with beef Bisto gravy and roast potatoes. They have cooled down and are in the fridge in Pyrex containers for my daughter and I to help ourselves later for dinner and we will cook some frozen green peas to go with the mince and roast potatoes.
I had to manicure my finer nails again today. I had broken the thumb nail on my left hand somehow, so had to cut and shape it down to nothing.
My new Addis White laundry basket with vented lid arrived today. I was so excited.I bought it from a business seller on eBay.

My excitement for the day has been that the washing machine broke - DH stripped it down, but couldn't fix it so we had to order a new one - but DH has made us a fire pit with the old drum - we have used it with some old wood - so nice and was a lovely surpriseDebt free and Keeping on Track9

That's ingenious MrsPorridge. It's an ill wind....
I love savoury mince sugarbaby. I always make a big pot of things like that (generally in my slow cooker) and freeze in portions. Sometimes I have it like your meal tonight, otherwise I'll make it into a cottage pie. Just as well I've just had dinner or I'd be making myself hungry. 😁
Nothing much to report otherwise. I cleared out my dry goods kitchen cupboard. DD1 had a bit of a MK moment and gave me a lovely kilner jar so I used that and had a general tidy up.
We had another walk, 7 500+ steps today. Another slightly different route and warm enough for a short jacket today.
I have to be saving some money as we're not eating out and hardly using the car. Other than some shoes from Shoezone 2for1 I haven't been shopping online. The food shops have seemed a bit more expensive but that may be because of buying a bit extra 'just in case' and because DH has been coming with me whereas I normally shop on my own. I'll try to be a bit more careful this week. 😉8 -
I remember watching a show ages ago where someone turned a washing machine drum into a garden coffee table.
I just did my 2 mile walk in 35 minutes. It is quite hot out today. I tried on the trainers I bought recently and they are too big! I am stuck exercising wearing my skechers every day. I really don't have many summer clothes at all. I took a couple of short sleeved tops out of my pyjama drawer to wear outside.
I will only have an avocado, a lettuce and an onion and some frozen spinach after today and we will be down to 4 tins of food in the cupboard. I still have pasta, couscous and a little bit of rice along with spray oil and spices. I cannot believe how quickly we have gone through everything. I do have half a bag of cereal and a whole bag of porridge left. My Tesco delivery isn't coming until next Wednesday. Oh well, I made soup with the few fresh veggies I have. It's enough for three days.
This afternoon I'm going to do my CBT homework, read my book and do a proper meal plan for the next few days.
I am going to do a hair treatment tonight and shave my legs and use the vitamin C facial stuff (that I keep forgetting to use) and then put on body lotion afterwards.

Hello Ladies,
I paid all of my monthly household bills today, so no worry until May now.As the weather has turned warm, I do not need central heating so that will really lower the monthly Gas payment for my household. Overall we are also using less electricity as well.
I went out early before the sun became too hot. I did some more non food stocking up in Pounland in Streatham. No queue, as the store was literally empty of shoppers and it is a really large store.
I am feeling really tired today, so I am getting plenty of rest after a good night's sleep.
As I cannot get any kind of online delivery for my shopping from this week, I will try shopping locally in Lidl. The only issue is trying to carry all of the shopping home. My daughter is going to have to come Lidl shopping with me, so she can carry the heavier items. I have made the shopping list for this Thursday. The biggest problem for me personally is trying to get enough bottled water into the house when it is so heavy to carry. I cannot drink tap water, as it gives me awful stomach problems.I am expecting to get the week's shopping for less in Lidl compared to my weekly online shop with Tesco. All money saved will be added to my savings account. I really like the quality and freshness of Lidl's fruit, vegetables and fresh meat.

Good afternoon lovely ladies. ....what a glorious day......
I've just been sloshing weed killer around with gay abandon. Also Found some Jeyes fluid lurking in the shed that previous occupant left so attacked the filthiest most weed infested patio with that. The garden stinks like a public lavatory now......🤮
This morning did some more kondoing. Little and often till it's done, remembering the elephant. 🤗
I am delighted to say Lockdown is working wonders for my bank balance.😂. Which is more than can be said for my waistline.....I have been a bit guilty of mindless munching of late. I'm very lucky I've not regained any weight but it has to stop.Hoping to hear Boris is ok. 🤒. Will switch TV on for the update in a bit.Hopefully, No news is good news......8 -
I think combining your daily walk with bits of shopping is a great idea sugarbaby. Does Iceland deliver in your area? I've read that they seem pretty good but not sure if you could bulk buy water as maybe the number allowed of each item is still limited. Might a water filter work for you? Or perhaps you could ask your strapping young son to fetch some when he comes home? Or what the students do round here is to take their wheeled suitcases to the shops to carry heavy items. Maybe you could do that when you go with your daughter?
I'm having a lazy day today and feeling a bit bored. DH got engrossed in his book and so we haven't been walking. We've been a bit relaxed about how we organise our days so maybe we need a plan. Normally I'd just say I'm going out in the car/walking but since coronavirus he seems to want to come with me. Maybe he doesn't trust me to keep my distance.I'm sure it's because he loves my company.
I've watched the press briefings most days. I like to study the body language as well as hear the answers to questions.
I've creamed my feet today as I noticed after my shower they were a bit rough. I've dug out a short sleeved top today Wednesday. It's plenty warm enough indoors. I'm going to start back on the fake tan too as lots of my summer tops are white and they look awful when my skin is pasty.
It's good in a way that you ae using up your food, far better than wasting it. Stocks really do seem to be returning to normal though which is good.

Maman, I just do not like the quality of the food in Iceland, so I will not be shopping from there. Unfortunately my wheeled suitcases have some of my clothing stored in them, but it is a really good suggestion. The added problem is that there are 3 flights of stairs before you are in the living areas of my maisonette, so a suitcase full of heavy shopping may be even too heavy for my daughter. I have enough bottled water at the moment for at least 2 weeks in my home.
I have tried water filters in the past, but I never found I could have enough water fast enough for my daily needs. Also the cartridges were quite expensive, so this is not an option for me.
My son is really afraid of getting corona virus, so he is staying at home as much as possible, so I will not be asking him to come and help with our weekly shopping. He would feel obliged to help, if I asked him, so I will not ask him.

Yes what a beautiful day, quite agree about the munchies LL I think I have been having a few too many treats. Walked 10200 steps this morning, we left home at 7.30 and only saw a few people so got home and had breakfast when we got back.
Washed my bedroom curtains and they are now hung back up also washed some throws. Funnily enough maman my friend sent me a text today to say she had booked a delivery with Iceland as you only need to be receiving your state pension to qualify as a priority. Must admit I don't usually shop at Iceland and neither does she but they do stock a lot of other groceries too so could be a good way to get your bottled water sugarbaby I believe it's only £35 minimum spend for free delivery.
I may brave Waitrose tomorrow which is about a mile from home as the aisles are really wide, have managed to get a Tesco delivery for the 21st April and we have a brilliant fruit and veg depot delivering along with bread, milk and eggs.
Sat in the garden for an hour reading my book which was pleasant, now just off to prepare dinner.
Hope Boris pulls through ok, stay safe everyone

I braved the supermarket today, as we were running low on groceries. I did try to go on Sunday, but the queue's were really long, so I got there for 8am opening. OH wasn't at work today, I took an extended break and we took the children to the park to ride their bikes.
I bought the children Easter Eggs today and I left them in the car whilst I was bringing in the shopping as I didn't want the children to see them. Needless to say, they have melted.
Plans for the Easter weekend - I bought some charcoal from the supermarket, so if the weather holds out, we will have a BBQ in the garden.7
