Just to add, it was my birthday recently and im very lucky , as my grown up kids all live close by , Both me and DH are on lockdown because of medical problems , but we are fine , and the "Kids" drop shopping in when they go for thiers . Anyway my daughter was determined to make the most of our birthdays ( Mine and my grandaughter Luna's ) Both days , she plated party food up , dropped it at our house for us to pick up , went back home , set up video chat so we could see them at the table eating thier food, and they could see us , and we all had "Tea" together , and sing Happy Birthday together , Isnt technology wonderful
My Dad bless him ( Who also lives local thank goodness) . is 90 years old , fit as a fiddle , but deaf as a post , and gets things wrong , He said to me about the Prime Minister , Boris Karloff is out of ICU ..........he was being serious lol
Im another one who thinks Raab is rather nice , but he does look like the Hi De Hi man lol7 -
Belated Happy Birthday Moll. So pleased that your family made a fuss of you.
Hopefully they will sort out your granddaughter's op very soon. Only yesterday there was a lot of publicity telling people that they mustn't avoid going to A&E or the GP if they have health concerns. I know my own GP's surgery made themselves pretty unreachable in the early days (just a recorded message when you phoned) but now you can talk to them and GP will ring back. Also many hospitals have completely separate entrances for non coronavirus cases. It might be worth your DD phoning the consultant's secretary and asking for a telephone consultation about the urgency. It might help put your minds at rest.
We've just had our walk, a bit more of an amble as it was so hot but we managed 7 000+ steps so pleased with that. It was a mixture of woodland and quiet, residential roads so we saw very few people. We did bump into (not literally) a friend of DH's so it was nice to have a chat with someone different for a few minutes.

Maman- ... A Nobel prize indeed. I did raise an eyebrow at that. I guess Stockholm tend to prefer a great body of work than disinfrancisment, stacking the court with ideologues, dismantling Obamacare and inhumane treatment of immigrants. I digress.
I'm tired from the worry and stress of it all. I'm afraid shopping but I overcome it. I'm I'm trying to eat better daily. Today I made a tomato and cannelloni bean soup. Delicious as it has a few things that were getting a bit not so fresh were chucked in a pot. I used up some tomatoes, peppers and carrots. I've kept the weight steady enough in a time of pandemic. I'm fearful of gaining too much weight as it will not help me with the virus, maintainance of health and fitting in to clothes. I've lost 2 kilo since the pandemic. Of course eating and drinking is impossible with a mask.
I understand please need more than the basics to survive. A capsule wardrobes will not do in a pandemic. Kids grow and the weather is changing. They need electric items, games and toys. People are going to be restricted for a good while, we need to make it as tolerable as possible.7 -
I can highly recommend the Tracey Cox bullet vibrator from Lovehoney.
Oh my! My husband has the weekend off work so we will be finding ways to entertain ourselves at home.
Ahem , anyway, I am doing an hour walk outside now and feel a lot brighter for getting out every day. I am going to wear my grey maxi dress with my red vest top and my red gold wedge sandals tomorrow. The weather is so nice. I don't like very hot weather but this is just perfect for me.
I have 6 more CBT phone sessions as my psychologist thinks I still need mental health support so that is helpful to have something to break up my week.
I'm about to make spaghetti for myself tonight. Orange chocolate for dessert. I didn't get an Easter egg this year so that will have to do.

OMG Wedneday TMI!!! 😁🤣
That's a good weightloss sft, you are obviously doing healthy eating. As you say, you can't eat in a mask but you can't touch your face holding two glasses of wine. 🍷😉
On a more serious note moll, today's press conference said we must continue to use the NHS for other than the virus. Do contact them about your granddaughter. 😘7 -
Thanks for the heads up WEDNESDAY !😯🤣🤣🤣😉"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

i have used the nice weather as an opportunity to wear some summer clothes. I bought a dress from eBay before lockdown, which I wore for part of the day. I changed when we went for a family bike ride.Lockdown has provided me with some opportunities, which I am taking advantage of, whilst I can. As a full time working family, we dont get much free time and the time we do get is spent rushing around on errands, so it’s been nice to slow down and spend more quality time together. We have gone on a family bike ride, I have read more and I’m learning a new language. I have also reconnected with lots of friends.
i am looking forward to life eventually getting back to a new normal and I have lots of plans. We have a summer holiday booked for Spain. I suspect we won’t be going but we have had to pay the balance off as we would have lost over £1000 on what we had already paid off.7 -
