Good morning lovely ladies.Thank you so much for your kind messages. Thankfully, I'm feeling much better now. It's just one of those things isn't it. I suppose grief loss and isolation just don't make good bedfellows. 😂.Anyway I thought rather than mope I would just get cracking and sink my teeth into a big project, one that I can see and measure my progress each day. The decluttering is fine but until I can dispose of the unwanted items it's still here so it doesn't feel like I've made much progress. Whereas with painting the kitchen cabinets the progress is more obvious so easier to stay motivated. Iyswim.
Apart from that I will just ensure that I stay away from anything which might "get" to me again.....so no more photo sorting, no sad books or films. Lockdown is going to be extended, pretty much as we all expected, so I shall just stay focussed on the good stuff, keep busy, and keep fabbing.Wednesday I meant to say well done in the weight loss., that's brilliant. I bet you feel better for it.Anyway a nice sunny day.....so painting, and maybe lawn mowing. Washing to go on the line and will do a fridge and freezer sort out. Maybe shopping tomorrow. All is good (enough) 😂.8 -
Im sorry a few are feeling down and lonely , the current situation doesnt help , but we are all here for each other ,,,,,,,you are not alone . . Its my daughters 40th birthday today .She'd planned a huge Masquerade party .....( She and her friends love a reason to dress up lol ) and this is what she wrote on her facebook page ,,,,,,,,, thought it might give you a smile and cheer you up .
This time 40 years ago Me Mam was sat in Babbington hospital ( after staying home longer than she should so she didnt miss watching heart to heart) ready to become a mother for the first time.
15 hours to the minute after this time I appeared!!!I definately and absolutely refuse to turn 40 in this horror storm , so tomorrow I will be turning 39+1 and next year I will be celebrating my 40th birthday in style!!!
I had/have 2 wishes for my birthday this year, one was that Luna had an amazing day which she did, the 2nd is that ALL my family come out the other side of this in one piece....
So tomorrow I will be doing something I have never ever done before on my birthday. I'm going to work. One because Edward Skinner has very rudely closed his doors ( He's a friend who owns the local pub called The Clock ) 😂 and the other because I feel I'm genuinely needed at the minute. ( She works the till at the local grocery shop ) However if you feel the need to buy me a pint in the clock when it's open I wont say no 😁.
So happy birthday to me, I have a whole year to plan my masquerade ball .... next year get ready!!!!Shes always had a positive attitude, lets all follow her footsteps , and thank goodness for technology , Everyone is joining in her birthday on line and the phones , and its turning into a lovely day

That's a really uplifting post moll. So glad your daughter is so positive and determined to enjoy her day. Next year she'll have an absolute ball. 😁
I've not been feeling well since Saturday. Fortunately nothing to do with covid, just a pain in the neck😁. Not sure what triggered it but pain in the big muscle from skull to shoulder. It's improved today but will be glad to see the back of it.
Still keeping up all the basic fabbing. Just standing under my lovely shower made me feel better.
Back soon. 😉8 -
Good morning lovely ladies.....
Maman. Ouch to the neck, hope it improves soon.Moll. Thanks for your post. Good for your daughter. And she gets to stay 39 for an extra year too. 😂.Moll, you use the word "lonely". What I felt wasn't loneliness, it was grief. I'm perhaps not very good at describing what I mean by feeling "widowy", after all there's no such word in reality. Anyway I'm fine, the feeling has passed now. It will doubtless come back again, it just does. Luckily the episodes are few and far between now. What fantastic weather, a real treat. Yesterday, I made a start on the kitchen cabinets, did a load of washing and enjoyed time in the garden. More of the same today. Tried to go to Aldi, took one look at the queue and gave up, opted for the local One Stop instead. So instead of doing a proper shop I ended up just spending a fiver on a few bits.
One positive about lockdown....I'm hardly spending any money, I have not even been tempted much to buy anything online, and of course I have hardly used any petrol. 😁.8 -

not sure if this will work but this is what my daughters friends and neighbours did for her , Dont worry they was all at a safe distance
Most of the neighbours all went to school together , now they are are learning thier children the songs lol . If you can see the car, Its the main Blues Brothers tribute band ( He lives a couple of doors away from me ) Hes been a gem during lock down in the village , driving to a few streets each night to play music for everyone ,6 -
Sounds like she had a really good time moll. I don't do Facebook but others may be able to see it, unless it's a closed group.
Neck is still sore but improving. I haven't been out since Friday as it's hard work and uncomfortable holding my head upright but I'm getting there. It means that I haven't really achieved much in the past few days other than just about keep up with cooking and laundry. I have been looking after myself though with all my daily fabbing routines of cleansing and moisturising and particular care of hands and nails. I have been reading and watching TV in the evenings. I've been enjoying that programme Quiz. It's amazing how well Michael Sheen is able to impersonate Chris Tarrant, quite uncanny.
There was a queue outside our Aldi last week for the first time LL. I assumed it was because of Easter and shorter hours. I did wait and it was no hardship standing in the sunshine. The queue went down quickly. I think it looks long because of the social distancing. I'm not having a problem with food as I've always done a weekly meal plan and a shopping list to go with it. When I worked, I found it saved me a lot of time as I was able to just whizz around the supermarket instead of standing around thinking what shall we have or buying random stuff and then thinking how to make a meal from it. Having regular meals helps to keep a routine too which is good.
Still glorious weather. We've got windows and door open so don't feel 'enclose' if that makes sense.

I love Michael Sheen, he is a great actor and can impersonate just about anyone. I didnt realise he was in Quizz.Oddly enough he was in a film I watched last night, called Home Again. He plays Reece Witherspoons estranged husband, a selfish but charismatic musician. Spot on and very amusing. And of course he's played David Frost, Tony Blair and Brian Clough.....all really convincing. It's gorgeous here.......just off for a walk and then a potter in the garden,9

Talking about Michael Sheen.Apparently He was furious when the tv announcer called him Martin Sheen twice, n tweeted his fury!! 😂😂😂😂
Has anyone watched Unorthodox on Netflix? I am finding it fascinating 😁"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Absolutely gorgeous day here today , so been in the garden . Weve got a Covid networking system in our village thank goodness, so ive dug out my black currant bushes ,,,,,,( dont know why i put them in as none of us care for black currents ?) anyway put them out on the village covid site if anyone wants them , and they went straight away ( We leave out on the door step as we are in isolation ) and ive decided to get rid of a lot of DVDS too , I had started taking them to the charity shop , but they wont be open for anytime soon , so put it out on the covid site if anyone wanted them to watch during lock down , and i was inundated .............. ( We always watch Netflix now , saved a couple of my very favourites , ill watch them on the computer, but others are going) and one woman said she works in a care home and theyd love them for the residents to watch . so im really pleased they are of use to someone ,as well as helping me clear out the clutter, The Pantry is the next project, We have an old house with a lovely walk in pantry , but over the years as the kitchen got modernised with cupboards , the "Pantry " then got used for storing . "Anything that didnt have a home " you know how it accumilates, SOOOOOOOOOOOOO its for the chop , im getting rid of all we dont use , and freeing the Pantry up again , for its proper purpose , and hopefully it will clear the deck off my worktops , and ill have nice clean lines, well thats the plan xxxx6
