Happy belated birthday sugarbaby! 🎂5
-
You put us to shame getting all dressed up for your birthday sugarbaby. You really did look amazing and the colour of your dress really suited you.
My neck is still improving but I need to be carful not to strain it by leaning forward too much. That makes it quite difficult for all sorts of activities including cooking. Today's my new highlight of the week. Aldi!!
I've had my shower and done all my skincare routines. My hair is looking better than I'd expected considering an appointment is way overdue. While I won't be wearing a glamorous dressto go shopping I will make an effort and wear light make up.
I've achieved very little this week other than basic chores, read, listen to some audio books and watch TV. Hopefully next week will be better.

Hello Ladies,
Thank you for all of your birthday wishes and for your complimentary words. Much appreciated. I had a lovely birthday. I got a total of £180. I do not need anything, so I may just use the money to pay off some of my council tax bill for April 2020 to April 2021.:) My elder daughter's parcel and my sister R's card have still not arrived, but I will receive them eventually.
This week, we did not need much shopping from Lidl to have enough for the week, so I told my daughter that she did not need to come to Lidl with me. I was able to get everything on my shopping list from the Camberwell Green Lidl and bring it home by myself. It is a lovely sunny day here in South London and it was great for me to get out in the fresh air.

I am making a list of things I want to do after this ends. Cafes and parks I want to go to. I want some new clothes definitely as I'm getting sick of wearing the same clothes.
I am off all my mental health medications now. One negative is that the anti-anxiety med was also an anti-convulsant and it made my body much less stiff and achy. I woke up the other day in pain as I must have been sleeping in awkward positions for the past few weeks and not feeling it! I am trying to stretch each day and massage my legs as they are aching. I'm using my hand held massager and I used my foot spa this morning as well.
I just bought a kindle book called The Wreckage by Robin Morgan-Bentley as I read it got good reviews. I'm going to give non-fiction a break and read some fiction instead. I still have almost 50 books on my kindle.
I am getting really bored with doing the same walk outside everyday! I only managed 35 minutes today as I wanted to get back home, believe it or not.
I have my CBT session this afternoon and then I will watch a few TV shows and make dinner. I fancy something comforting like (veggie) sausages, mash, veg and gravy as it's much cooler here.

That's interesting Wednesday. I have amitryptiline prescribed for when I get a trapped nerve in my back. I believe that's sometimes used as an anti depressant but I only take it as a muscle relaxant when needed. 🙂
I've still got my pain in the neck! It has improved but I do wish it would go away. I'm doing very little but as nothing's urgent it doesn't matter. It's also grey and wet today so I'm not missing anything.
I must say I'm very pleased with the condition of my skin. I'm sure it's the oil I'm using for a serum as it's so well hydrated. Yesterday, when I was in Aldi, they had Johnson's baby lotion for just £1.49 I use it as a body lotion after my shower and I particularly like the pump action dispenser.
I've been enjoying listening to Pride and Prejudice as an audio book although I know the story well. Anyone got a recommendation for an app for audio books? 🤔

Hello Ladies,
I finally received the parcel from my older daughter with my belated Mother's Day and birthday gifts and cards. She got me the perfect choice of books. I got my birthday card from my sister R as well.

I use BorrowBox for audio books. It’s free through my library. They have a wide range of books and are always adding new ones. I have Elton johns autobiography to listen to at the moment as a change from the detective mysteries I have been listening to.8

Good morning lovely ladies....
How are we all. Still busy fabbing I hope. Hope your neck is a bit better Maman. My new massage gizmo has arrived so will try it out today.Wednesday .....interesting that you are thinking about post lockdown. Me too. I'm bursting with ideas.😁. It probably won't be instant freedom. I'm guessing restrictions will be lifted slowly with maybe more mini lockdowns in future when second or even third waves strike again. But we know we can do it right??? Just a bit of patience and forbearance, there's a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. DS2 has just landed a nice 6 month contract, starts on Monday all being well. As it's construction work social distancing shouldn't be too much of an issue, and he knows to be sensible about lunch breaks etc.Anyway as well as all the obvious health implications we are being warned about the economic fall out and the likelihood of a deep global recession so I have decided it's a good time to revamp my finances, to trim the fat, and also put FILs legacy to good use. So I'm going to go through everything with a fine tooth comb. Yesterday I made a start by switching my current account. Apart from when I lived in Scotland I have been with the same major bank since I was 16. I have had a couple of run ins with them over the years but the final straw for me was when they closed all their branches bar one in the city centre.....so I am faced with a round trip of about an hour and have to pay for parking just to visit the bank.😂. No way!!! And they don't pay any interest on accounts so I'm done with them.I have just read a book called "Nice Girls Dont Get Rich" and it's made me realise I have been a bit too laid back with my finances recently and that I need to be a lot more proactive. Time to get lean and make my pennies go to work.....😂🤣.I had another small cash injection from FILs estate this week so I've decided I'm going to treat myself to a few bits for the house......a centre island unit for the kitchen, and a nice console table for the hall. I have seen some nice ones on Wayfair......I also have a funny little nook next to the fireplace in the Dining area which is crying out to be used. So either buy some sort of cupboard or if I can't get the right size I'll get the joiner to rustle something up, even if it's just open shelving. It's grey and miserable here, cold wind, although it's stopped raining so I'm going to stay indoors and crack on with some painting, make a batch of curry, and just generally potter about. The garden does look better for the rain. When the sun comes back next week I'm going to get busy with some planting.Just keeping busy and trying to be productive.Have a great weekend.......keeeeeeep fabbing.7 -
Hello Ladies,
I have now paid the remaining £301.97 of my current Council Tax bill.
Thanks to receiving a total of £265 of birthday money I received and I wanted to use that money positively as I do not need any material items for myself or my home, I have paid my full liability of £583.99, so no worry for me until April 2021.:D
I am still reading Still Me by JoJo Moyes but I want to finish it by tomorrow, as I have so many books I received for my birthday I would prefer to be reading even though I am enjoying my current read.
