If you or LL did have the virus then that's a positive thing Wednesday. Funnily enough I happened to meet a friend in the supermarket who has what she thought was flu and an awful cough last month and she said the same thing.
One of the things we need while self isolating /practising social distance is structure. Meals are part of that and it sounds like organising your freezer /cupboards and planning meals is a good step.
I did my usual Aldi/Sainsburys shop today and got everything on my list. Aldi was brilliant with lots of fruit and vegetables. The only thing I had to track down were some very expensive eggs in Waitrose. Fortunately all these shops are close to home.
I did my make-up to go shopping. It made me feel so much better.
Keep safe. 😊7 -
I got back from Goa on 22nd Dec, n was then ill for 3,weeks, with a horrid cough, temp , n bad chest. On the flight home, there was a guy sitting across from me , that literally coughed all the way home, without covering his mouth !
Am feeling a bit stir crazy already"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Good morning lovely ladies.,
Candy....it does sound like you may well have had the virus too by the sound of it. I can well imagine it being transmitted by someone coughing on a plane .....😱. As Maman says, if some of us have already had it and developed antibodies then that's a good thing. No news from Sugarbaby.😞. Hope you are ok, my dear.Well done on keep wearing make up, Maman. Good Aldi had everything you wanted. Yesterday I went for a walk round my neighbourhood and popped into a shop I hadn't visited before because it looked a bit scruffy and didn't appeal. Actually it's fine inside, fruit and veg were a bit pricy compared with other shops but its another option. Not sure of nationality of owners but they had a lot of Polish and Asian foods, the spices smelt wonderful. Opposite we have one of these cheap not quite everything for £ but the sort that stock a mish mash of everything. They still had hand wash, disinfectants etc.I do have some eggs in. I usually get mine from the local ironmonger,🤣. He sells organic local farm eggs. I will take a stroll over later today, see if he has any. I am going to make a determined effort now to try and buy as much as I can from our local suppliers, shops, and also support local tradespeople wherever possible. I want to see them survive, plus of course smaller less crowded establishments might be safer. One thing that occurred to me......I won't be spending as much on going out, entertaining etc. I probably won't be mooching round charity shops and being tempted with bargains, getting my hair cut etc. I will have be able to boost my savings.......and then, when it's all over, maybe treat myself to something nice, with what I've saved.
every cloud has a silver lining. 😂
Have a great day y'all. Keep safe and happy, stay busy and focussed. Maman is right I think we need to build some structure into our day.I am going to use my time in isolation to tackle all those niggly outstanding jobs, starting with the paperwork mountain and those wretched photos......😉
On a final note, my son has managed to be pick up a contract straight away. Starts Monday, so only two days out of work. Retraining as an electrician was probably the best thing he could have done, increasing his skill set and making him more employable. It's a 3 month contract so he's happy with that.8 -
Also concerned for sugarbaby.Hope you're ok.💐
Best wishes to everyone. Keep safe.6 -
Yes Maman, that would be good if I already had it.
I remember Candy and LL saying they were ill too.
I hope Sugarbaby is okay.
I keep thinking if this social distancing goes on for months that I am glad that I got a lot of important things out of the way during the start of the year. I have a lot of pet supplies in bulk as well as all my usual vitamins which should last months as well. I'm relieved I started this year being so organised.
I wish I had stuck to my idea of stocking up with extra cat litter and loo roll with each grocery delivery. I actually had that idea and then didn't do it. Damn, I wish I had now!
I think I will be able to put a lot more money into savings this year. I just did our daily budget with online banking and we have three weeks until payday and even after bills etc... I have £800 in there! Some of that will go on food obviously but we should still be able to save up more than usual. My husband was saying about picking up some overtime too while a lot of people are off work.
I'm going to make a list of things I have to do every day to get into a routine at home. Today I have done my CBT homework for the next session, done some housework and listened to an album I haven't heard in years.
I am going to jump on my trampoline for 5 minutes when my husband gets out of bed later. I will start slowly and then hopefully build up.
I am going to go and sit in the garden and read a quarter of one of my paper books. I'm going to ration myself as I read quite quickly.
At least it is almost spring as I would find this much more depressing if we were heading towards winter.
Take care all.xxx

Every cloud has a silver lining doesnt it.....
If we are not gadding about and spending then hopefully we can bulk up our savings. Also because Spring is on its way, even though we are at home all day we won't be needing the heating on full blast all day. It's lovely here, although a bit of a chill wind when you are out of the sun.Re routines.....I have just spent two hours gardening and I think that was a bit too much all in one go, especially as the soil is so wet and heavy. So my plan for the next two weeks is 1 hour gardening before lunch and then after a little rest, one hour a day doing some decluttering. Also thinking that some of the money I am saving by self isolating i could use to buy help with some of the heavy work.I've been for a nice walk and will do some stretches later and then more paperwork sorting.Ooh I am such a busy little bee.....😂6 -
Hi everyone, hope you are all safe.
i have had problems logging into this site as or keeps crashing in both my iPad and iPhone. Strange.
School is now closed and I have to work out how to educate two children whilst working full time.I have managed to complete all of my outsourced fabbing (hairdresser, waxing, laser treatment) so if we do go into lockdown, I should be okay, for a couple of weeks. I need to remind myself that I should make the effort to look nice, despite working from home.
the streets of London are still busy, despite the government requests to social distance. I must admit, I have been going out, but that’s to do the food shop. A family member sent me this awful clip of someone driving down the high street complaining that ‘all them foreigners are still out shopping’. If only he stopped to think that many people can’t afford to stockpile. My niece and her colleagues work in a supermarket and have been racially abused and assaulted by customers, it’s terrible.A few people I have been speaking to have queried whether society will change after we get through this pandemic. I say no. People will soon forget. One positive, I hope, is that people will shop more locally at small shops. There are lots of world food shops, in London, which have lots of foods in, often cheaper than the supermarket. The children’s school asked for donations for families in need, so I picked up a few extra items, like jam, soup Etc. I said to the school that there wasn’t much is the shops, but I hope my bag of food helps. I think karma came back around as I was in Lush today buying a pre-isolation ‘emergency’ bath bomb and they gave me a fresh face mask, as they are closing for a few weeks and the fresh masks won’t keep. This means I now have 5 containers, which I will be able to take back and exchange for another fresh face mask.4 -
It's mad really. March brings many things but this.
I missed the hair dressers, it ha been on the to do list for a month. It will still be there. Youtube hair cutting maybe or not yet. Hair colours, curlers and home treatments are flying of shelves with people dyeing themselves.
I miss the gym bet did a few routine on the old YouTube. It's better than nothing. But I've been eating some rubbish. Decided not to buy it again as if it not in can't eat it.
I'm shattered recently, running on adrenaline gets you. But hopefully will have more routine this week. It will get better.
I hope to get out for a walk today but have a few chores to do. Unfortunately the travel to the chores might eat up some of the day.
Hope you all are doing well.5 -

💐Happy Mother's Day Everyone.....Whether you are a mum or not. 💐And if, like me, you can't see your children in person, then pamper and indulge yourself,
I can't go to a nice restaurant so I'm bringing the restaurant to me.......smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for lunch......a nice ribeye steak for dinner and of course a mini bottle of Prosecco. There's my favourite salted caramel ice cream in the freezer and some chocolate on standby. 🍹💃6
