I'm really into YT. These days. Who knew there was so much on there.I have found some nice tai chi music to exercise to and this morning discovered some new Bollywood dance exercise routines. There is so much choice and so much more fun than the boring old exercise we did at school. 😂.I'm finally an exercise convert and it only took me 6 decades.!! Better late than never. 😂🤣The beauty of doing it at home is I can fit it round my day to suit myself, I can experiment with different forms of exercise and I can go at my own pace, taking little breaks if I need. I have just done around an hr of exercise. A month ago I could barely manage 10 minutes 😱. I feel so much better, fitter and stronger. I can feel my lung capacity Improving so it must be helping my heart too. I feel a lot less tired and my body seems more flexible with fewer aches and pains (I think the turmeric helps with that too).I know it sounds like I'm bragging but I am just so proud of myself. 😉 It was really hard to get started and get into my stride but it's true to say I haven't felt this good for a very long time.Yes I'm going to stock up on amazon prime day too. I need to make a list .....Vitamins, lotions and potions and whatever bargains I spot. 🤞9

I decided to by some Vitamin D supplement this week as I know I haven't had anything like enough sunlight this year and likely to be less in coming months. i do eat most of the foods that contain Vitamin D but I don't think I'll be overdosing on one capsule a day.
I'm pleased I've got back to dancing (one weekly and one fortnightly class) but I could do with more exercise as much for the feel good factor as my physical health. That being said, I was pleased to know that I could cope well with the dancing despite the long break. We have booked our day out tomorrow so I know I'll be getting a good walk along the seafront. It's a start. 😊
Odd responses to yesterday's Covid announcements. It seems that the main 'ramping up' strategy is to close down hospitality and family/friends meeting up anywhere because although not supported by the data it's something they can do rather than the alternatives of looking at schools, universities, supermarkets, workplaces etc. I heard someone from the City of Nottingham which, I believe, has the highest infection rate in the country saying they weren't going to the highest level because they couldn't police the city when the surrounding areas weren't so badly hit. It's honest I suppose but not really what the government seemed to be aiming for. 🤔
Lovely dinner again yesterday sugarbaby. I try to have some meals that are low carb/carb free too. It's mostly lunches though especially omelettes loaded with veg. That's what I'm having today. 😋8 -
Wednesday just read your news. Gosh, how scary that must have been. Hope you are on the mend.
maman I agree, some strange decisions are being made. This is worrying, as the rules do require the majority of people to self-police and if people don’t buy into rules because they don’t make sense, they won’t follow the rules.
Im still really surprised that London doesn’t have higher levels of restrictions. I’m back in the office tomorrow in Central London, which I don’t mind.7 -
Thanks Chanie.
Maman - my GP said the majority of people in the UK are vitamin D deficient, unless they supplement, as you can't get enough daylight in this part of the world. I supplement every week ever since I had a very low reading on a blood test.
LL - I meant to say the woman I mentioned who said for me to take turmeric had the same experience as us, she couldn't believe it wasn't a heart attack when they told her it was costochondritis at the emergency room. I will take it religiously if it means that it won't happen again. Also, that is really good about the improvement in your exercise!7 -
Wednesday.....thanks for the reminder about prime deals. I'd forgotten all about it.Just ordered, Vit D3 and k2. Apparently you are supposed to take them together. Retinol serum, Vit c serum and some blur primer. Still need mascara and a few more bits but hopefully I'll have time To browse the offers tonight or tomorrow.I watched the briefing......They don't sound very confident do they. Chris Whitty (think that's his name) looked particularly uncomfortable and he warned that even level 3 wouldn't be enough.I do think that Boris is relying rather too much on people's sense of fair play and/or sense of duty to their fellow citizens. So many just can't be trusted. I mentioned the woman in Aldi the other day......sadly she's just of many to flout the guidelines. There are just far too many people out there who either don't understand the severity of covid or simply don't care if their actions impact on others. There does seem to be a shocking "I'm alright Jack" mentality at work. 😒Whilst I consider myself to be reasonably fit and healthy for my age, my age is definitely against me so I'm just going to continue to be as careful as I can be.The government have such a difficult task, trying to balance the economy and keeping the virus in check......a damn near impossible task and I wish the political establishment would stop the infighting and pull together. If Boris is forced to impose a full nationwide lockdown again it will be economic Armageddon. If people, including local government bodies, on a local level don't cooperate then there is no hope of controlling the virus and it will just have to run its course.I don't know what people want.....do they want the military to be called in.I believe the government are trying to allow some form of personal liberty and freedom by encouraging people to be fair minded and use their common sense. In other countries they are taking a far more draconian approach. For example in Venezuela (I know this because my DIL keeps me informed) People who don't comply are severely dealt with.....they are not quite under martial law but it's not far off.Do we really want this for the UK. People call Boris weak. I don't think he is. I think he's just trying to protect our freedoms and civil liberties. I just wish people would comply voluntarily.7

Wednesday hope you are feeling OK. A similar thing happened to me a few years back and I ended up in hospital for 4 days and they couldn't do an angiogram until the 4th day. As I was on blood thinners I was feeling better and they couldn't find anything wrong and my ECG had returned to normal. The best guess was I had a small clot in an artery and it had cleared up because of the 4 days of blood thinners. I didn't enjoy the angiogram but it was interesting to see inside my heart and to see my arteries were nice and clear. It is scary though and I wouldn't want to do it again.
I had a colonoscopy the same year so got to check out my insides from the other end so I am well acquainted with my inner workings.
On a less serious note I have another radiator leak and plumber is away!!!! It is a small leak and a bowl is catching it but I will be glad when he can sort it. This morning we had a power cut and ended up going out for breakfast as we had no heating for several hours. So glad to have it all working again.
I feel like it is one problem after another at the moment.8 -

The pain went very quickly with the thinners and I felt safe as they kept doing ecg regularly. Guilty secret - don't tell anyone - I quite enjoyed the bed rest. I know that is awful, I hang my head in shame but at least I'm honest.
Being a cardiac ward it was 90% male so another lady and I had a nice bay to ourselves. I might not have been as happy if I'd known that being put next to the nurses station meant they were very concerned.7 -
Wednesday , very sorry to hear about your hospital trip thank goodness it wasn't a heart attack, hope you are on the mend.
Hadn't had time to look on here for a couple of days but I'm another one that started taking vitamin D a couple of months ago.
Still managing to get the steps in while the weather is nice. Hope everyone is ok I had a socially distanced coffee with my two closest friends today which did me the world of good. We were talking about sleep and all three of us had not been sleeping well for the past few nights . I do agree with you LL that I wish people would just comply with the rules otherwise we will be certainly heading for more restrictions but I do hope they manage to keep schools open .

Candy- hope Bonnie likes her coat , I did consider one for our dog when he was alive I think it was called a Thunderjacket.
As it was he wouldn't even wear the one I bought him for the winter , he used to stand and look at me as if to say what have you done to me !
