Sugar .. dinner looks delicious.
I've been working out more, I rowed 4 km this morning and elliptical machine. I'd nearly getting my steps in
Ll.. getting the fire in might be a great investment and add to help selling your home. I put one in 2 years ago and save a fortune on heating. I also got an insulated door. It makes difference being warm. This winter will be a lit more indoors. I burn renewable wood brickets and try and avoid coal. I only need a few brickets to warm the house and don't use the ketone oil boiler much at all.
The heat from a stove is slow compared to the gas, which heats up fast and goes fast
I've gotten very care with waste and trying to do my bit. I keep saying my next car will be electric or a hybrid.
One mild from home make me laugh. Some people have clothes on I would not wear to the rubbish dump. The idea of wearing some stuff makes me laugh. One poor lady had the worst example of leggings they were such a rotten colour mix. I find the base layers are better to keep warm as can make clothes warmer and extend into the winter. The dressing gowns make me feel ready for bed. I have s fleece jacket from lidl that I put on and its lovely and warm.

Hello Ladies,
Jerk chicken legs, microwave rice 'n' peas, sweetcorn and gravy with red & yellow sweet peppers, onion and sliced carrots

sugar- i have chicken in the freezer and will make jerk chicken this week. I remember you gave us the recipe a while ago. It is great getting recipe ideas.
I made butternut squash soup from frozen but the butternut was not peeled right and is very fibrous. I will have to strain it. It is a pain buying frozen veg that are prepared wrong- I no longer buy peppers as the stalks were in the bag. I wonder if frozen veg is really great- aside from nutrition as the bags have to go in the bin being non-recyclable. It seems better buying local with less packaging.7 -
savings have you thought about buying fresh veg and freezing it yourself? I often buy the £1.50 veg boxes from Lidl, with the produce which is just past its best and I’m often having to freeze the veg. I have a big bag of peppers, which I froze. Came in handy as we had fajitas on Saturday. A quick google tells you the best way to freeze.
Admittedly, it is a faff, but it’s handy.
I will be interested to hear what BoJos plans are tomorrow. Whatever they may be, I suspect London will be in the category with the highest restrictions. As much as I loved not working, I’m fortunate that I now have a job, particularly as the pandemic doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon. Plus my job allows me to predominantly work from home, for now.

I often freeze veg at home too chanie. I don't bother with blanching just chop/slice and open freeze. Nothing gets wasted that way.
I'm interested to know where the line is to be drawn between the various levels of lockdown tomorrow. I'd be surprised if London is in the highest level but who knows? 🤔6 -
Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Well I'm baffled. Nottingham has the highest rate of infection - 834 (national average is 74) and still no special measures and yet places like Liverpool and Manchester have Had some restrictions for a while now.I am just going to continue to try and stay out of harms way.Exercise and healthy eating still going well, a bit of decluttering, keeping busy and staying positive.Stay well and keeeep fabbing.9 -
Hi LL, we're expecting Preston to be hammered in today's covid announcement! 🤨
Good job we managed to squeeze in my birthday meal last week! It's a year since we've all met up , so there was plenty to catch up on 😉
Have FINALLY managed to get through to my consultant's sec today, n She's rescheduling the MRI, due to me not receiving the original letter. In the meantime, I have a DAT brain scan in Nov , to check for Parkinsons, as it runs in the family.I really don't think it's that though 😉
Got some birthday money off Mum to buy a coat, so I have done, except it For Bonnie not me! A calming coat to help when the fireworks are here!
Good luck with the baby's arrival LL! I bet you're getting excited now! N hugs to everyone else xx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Nottingham has only just snuck to #1...it's been lower than the Northern cities for a while until last week. And I would be surprised if London is highest tier - maybe some areas might be but not all.

Yes I suppose it's just the Midlands turn now. The virus seems unstoppable and short of a complete lockdown it's hard to know how to stop it. I've been reading up about pandemics in general (a little light relief😂) and it does seem to be a pattern that they come and go in waves.I guess I'm just more attuned to Nottingham's figures, partly because it's next door, partly because my son and DIL live roughly halfway between Derby and Nottingham but more worryingly DIL is a nurse in one of Nottingham's big city hospitals, although thankfully not on a covid ward. I still worry about her though.Candy....yes the new baby will be here soon. Exciting. Glad you are getting some joy with the investigations, hope you get a diagnosis soon. It must be so hard for you not knowing What the problem is and having to wait so long for answers.8

It'll be interesting to hear what Boris has to say later. I know it's not his forte but I do hope he offers some detail and logic behind whatever's been decided and the criteria for getting in and out of each proposed level. He can't keep interpreting scrutiny as lack of support. I was reading yesterday about how a lack of trust is contributing to how well people adhere to the rules. There was data that showed compliance dropped from May when Dominic Cummings went for his eye test. 🤔
I've had a really good pampering session today. I have my basic routine every day after my shower but once a week I like to take a bit more time, usually at the weekend. Today, I've started adding some fake tan to my body lotion again. Whatever I wear to my black tie do next week, arms are likely to be on show so I don't want to look too pale. I really missed not having my usual holiday tan this year.
I'm hoping to go to Bournemouth this week. The museum/gallery there has a pre Raphaelite exhibition on which is probably my favourite art. If we choose the right day to book then we can have a seaside walk at the same time. 😊6
