Chanie - I totally agree with you about shoes in TKMAX. I was referring to my ‘Down to Earth’ shoes when I mentioned TKMAX. They have them in from time to time and are a bargain at usually half-price so I always look out for them. I agree with you about their other shoes as most don’t fit well, are ridiculously high and not very well made and are the type of shoe that wouldn’t normally sell elsewhere.  I did, however, manage to pick up some Calvin Klein and some Dunne court shoes once which were very comfy and stylish as well.  I also managed to get some gorgeous tan leather boots at a knock-down price as well. But on the whole, they aren’t much good for shoes though. Now handbags - that’s another story!! I don’t have many bags but have a lovely Valentino bag I bought years ago which is still going strong. I’ve also got a black and white Valentino logo scarf which was only £15 or so. It looks so good with my black winter coat and I get a lot of comments on it when I wear it. I saw one similar on eBay recently and the “buy it now” price was £100!  TKMAX is the place to go for if you’re looking for a scarf. Having said that, I bought a Michael Kors pure wool scarf on eBay last year which was “new with tags” at a knock-down price, so eBay is always worth a look as well.

Anyway, as has been said before on this thread, it’s not WHAT you wear but how you wear it. I love how you put so much thought into co-ordinating your outfits Sugar. Your purple ensemble looks lovely with the bag.

For my walk today I wore my new purple oversized jumper with black leggings, skechers and a long diamante cross necklace I bought last week. I think it was okay for casual although I think it would look better with boots. I enjoyed my veggie roast dinner that I made when I got home.

I am going to walk to Superdrug tomorrow as I couldn't get the shade of lipstick I wanted online. I keep walking to a certain parade of shops near me as there and back is exactly 3 miles so I know I get a good amount of steps in. It also means I don't have to go on public transport. I'm going to wear my short navy dotty dress, my new red cardigan and new red tights. Probably with my brown boots and bag. I am going to try and avoid the charity shops, lol.

I have been watching more episodes of Why Women Kill. I think I'm up to 6 or 7 now. I really like it.

As Maman said Chanie,  good luck on your first day in the new job. I know the feeling, it’s like being the new girl at school but I’m sure that you’ll rock it. Please let us know how it went.

Wednesday My word, you DO sound stylish on your walk. I love over-size jumpers too, especially with skinny jeans and boots. Loving the red tights! I discovered purple last winter!  Good luck in finding the right shade of lipstick. I’ve been experimenting for years and the one that works best for me is a Max Factor pearly nude which I then go over with tinted Nivea pearly shine, which moisturise my lips as well. Cheap as chips. 😁

PS - I forgot to add that the Valentino scarf listed at £100 is madness🙄. Who in their right mind would pay that? I think a lot of “dealers” on eBay  buy stuff at TKMAX and other outlets and then try and sell on for the RRP. We on this site, however, are a bit more savvy 😁

Thank you for all your wishes for my new job tomorrow.  I must admit, I do feel more nervous than I normally do about starting a new job.  I’ve had 6 months of not having to commute and a couple of months of not working so everything feels strange.   I was getting my bag ready for tomorrow and I wasn’t sure what I needed to take with me or what even to wear.  These things are normally second nature to me.  Despite this, I’m grateful I have a job.

  I’ve also just developed a cold which has reared its head in the last hour, so I’m just lying in bed with a lemsip.  On top of that, OHs nephew has to isolate because someone in his class has tested positive to coronavirus.  He stayed over last night and spent a lot of time with DS.

I was watching a Real Housewives episode and a man on there said the scarf cost £1,000!

OMG, who would pay that?!

My Daughter is a lot better now. She is having a test on either tuesday/wednesday. Once she is ok she can return to work.
