Sheila glad your daughter is doing better.
Sugar love the shoes. Very nice and comfortable. Its hard to get a stylish shoe that is comfortable . But yours look so good
I'm shattered tired. I using inhalers more, slight runny nose but no temperature. I'm taking echinchea soluble multivitamins more probiotic stuff than I can mention. I've reduced red meat a lot and maybe it could be low iron. I will have to get myself sorted.
I'm working extra days so that's part of it and the nights are drawing in. Sometimes it's hard to really face into the start of it.
Looking forward to my day off and I will relax.

I really enjoy salmon too sugarbaby, and I do mine in the oven too. 😁 I've taken to batch cooking pilau and brown rice as they take longer to cook from scratch. It's then really easy to ping in the microwave. 😁
I've been dancing again today, probably the last garden dance this year. Next Friday we plan to start indoors as indoor exercise is allowed. I

Hello Ladies,:
SFT I love Van Dal shoes and sandals. I usually find they are comfortable to wear new straight out of the box
Maman. I love fresh salmon, but considering the expense, I normally buy Basa fillets. My daughter said she prefers Basa fillets, so I will be keeping the other salmon fillets for my own dinners.
Autumn has finally arrived in South London. It is cold and blustery. Yesterday I had to wear my leather jacket and gloves when I went to Lidl. I also had to turn my central heating on, but I am thankful that most of September was like summer and was gloriously warm or hot.
Now that pubs and restaurants have a 10pm curfew, it just means that I will be leaving home about 6pm to go out to my usual pub for a night of dancing and coming home at a much more palatable hour rather than in the early hours of Sunday morning. I am hoping to get a lift with my friend to Karaoke tomorrow as well.

Good morning lovely ladies.Love the shoes SUgarbaby. They look both comfortable and elegant. Great to see you are now recovered from COVID and getting out and about again.Still having problems with my shoulder. Missing my chiro treatments.SFT. Sorry to hear you are not feeling so good. Lots of TLC!! I have been tired the last few days too, and the aches and pains don't help. Hey ho. I'm just going to pace myself.......tell myself it's a marathon not a sprint. The road to wellness has a few twists and turns but I'll get there. I definitely will.I am determined I am not going to let COVID steal all the joy out of my life. Six months in semi lockdown is a long haul but I refuse to let it drag me down and break my spirit. I think it might be a fight sometimes to stay focussed, positive and happy but it's one I am determined to win. I want to be in a position so that when we eventually come out the other side, then I want to be ready to spring into action. I want to be slim, healthy, and financially ready to get out there. I am really going to concentrate on me this time rather than taking on any large diy projects.Today I am wearing another of my new one mile outfits, navy trousers and a blush pink brushed cotton top. I have washed and styled my hair and am wearing just a bit of eye make, and a slick of lippy. And of course perfume.DS and DIL Will be round later. I have a shepherds pie ready for our main meal. I am gong to make a start on my wardrobes today. It will probably take a few days to do it all properly. I want to go through everything, So will clean and dust shelves etc as I go.Over the next few weeks I am going to go through the whole house, decluttering room by room and giving each one a thorough deep clean.Have a great weekend y'all.8

It's well worth making the effort to feel good LL, even if we don't step outside the front door!😀
Reading about your brushed cotton top reminds me why I prefer to shop in person rather than online. Like you, I'm quite fussy about the fabrics I wear. I'm not totally against synthetics but they have to feel like natural IYSWIM. I can't stand those that feel like scratchy nylon. It's probably completely the wrong thing to do in the Covid climate but I have to touch something before buying it. 😊
Another thing I like to do is to take a quick look in a mirror to see if something suits me before buying/trying it on. I went to Asda last week and had a browse around George. I picked up (literally) a few things I fancied but then realised they'd removed all the mirrors! I put everything back so couldn't have been that enamoured with any of them. 😉
I did try these ballet pumps on:

They are in the shoe section but could easily be slippers as they're so soft and comfortable. I was undecided but at £8, I think I'll go back for a pair.
It's a lovely autumn day here, not hot but really sunny. It helps. 😊6 -

Wednesday you are going to have to buy a bigger wardrobe at this rate ! just as well you had a clearout a few weeks ago.5 -
I'm wearing one of my new black and white tops over a knee length dress, my fake Skechers and a new necklace I got from the charity shop. I have been making sure I get out everyday to get daylight and exercise. The pedometer is really good motivation. I think next week I will call the council to see if the health walks are still going on. I'm not sure what will be happening with Covid in London but you think if you are walking in a park you can all stay spaced out.
The temps have definitely dropped. I haven't got my heating on yet but the thick red blanket is on top of our duvet from this morning. The dogs love sleeping on it as it's furry in texture.
I'm just catching up with YouTube videos today. One of the bloggers I follow (Caitlin Shoemaker) has a guest on it this week and she is doing a vegan recipe for Jamaican rice and beans. I might make it this week. I used to make that and have it with ackee and fried plantains and it was delicious.
I think I will be cooking new (and old) recipes more now we are all going to be indoors so much again. I am going to make a veggie roast dinner every Sunday as it helps me to build a routine. I might make a nut roast tomorrow as I haven't done that in ages.2025 GOALS

Hi everyone hi everyone - sorry I haven’t posted recently but our internet has been playing up again. We’ve finally sorted it out and as a gesture of goodwill Virgin has upgraded our router and increased our internet speed (as so they should have).
Sugar - I absolutely love Van Dal shoes. I have several pairs, including three pairs of sandals and I find that they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn (and they look so stylish as well). I have a lot of decent high heeled court shoes (Gabor, Lotus, Carvella etc.) which I also find comfortable but since I retired I don’t wear them any more so will probably give them to the charity shop. They are still in good condition but I don’t think they would sell very well on eBay and what I would get from them I would rather give them away. I’ve kept a few back though as when this lockdown is all over I hope someday to wear them at some stage. I used to find a lot of shoe bargains in TKMAX when I was working. I only wear Down to Earth casual shoes in the house, rather than slippers as I find they are the most comfortable, soft leather shoes I’ve ever worn. They cost around £25, which I suppose some people wouldn’t pay for a shoe you only wear indoors but they can be worn outdoors too. I’ve just bought a pair of Gabor black suede ankle boots to replace the ones that have worn out and I’m looking forward to wearing them with my skinny jeans and quilted jacket this winter. The are SO comfortable - I could walk for miles in them (and they are very stylish too).I bought my first pair of Gabor shoes many moons ago and have been buying and wearing them to work ever since. I remember my last interview 20 years ago. It was for a Headmaster’s PA job in a large independent boys’ school. I was absolutely terrified. It was in the days before there was a large personnel department in schools and my final interview (I got through to the final four) was with the Headmaster and a woman (who scrutinised me from head to toe) who absolutely terrified me. When my partner asked how I had gone on, I told him I had no idea. I thought I done Ok but told him that the “lady from Personnel” kept looking at my shoes! Of course, the “lady from Personnel” only turned out to be the school’s Professional Tutor - very senior post indeed. She must have been introduced as such but I never took it in. I was convinced that my Gabor shoes stood me in good stead. When she retired a few years later, I attended her retirement dinner. She came over to thank me for the small gift that I had given her and once again she looked at my feet. She said “I absolutely love your shoes Free - so stylish and elegant.” They were Van Dal and I loved them too.
I know I got the job on merit but I do think the shoes helped somewhat👍. Because they were so comfortable, as well as being well-heeled, they made me feel more confident. Who needs all those REALLY expensive brands when you’ve got Gabor and Van Dal? I rest my case😁.6 -
Haven't been on for a few days, still busy clearing out. I've just finished shredding bank/credit card statements and some of them were over 20 years old. Can't believe what he keeps.
I've decided on something to do to keep me occupied if we get a lockdown, I'm going to crochet a blanket. I'm making 5" squares, I've spent all morning trying out different stitches and patterns, I'm making it in white and shades of blue, pale blue, teal and dark blue. It took me a while to work out how I want to do it, I'm doing a sort of sun burst in the middle with a circle round it and then turned into a square, sounds a bit odd but I'll have to show you when it is done. Should keep me occupied.
I love those shoes for slippers Maman, since I broke my toe I've had to start wearing slippers to protect my toes (didn't realise how important they were before) and I hate slippers, they are so old ladyish but they look great.
Hope everyone is well, I'll have to have a proper read and catch up.5
