pixie excellent progress on your decluttering.
maman those slipper shoes will really add a bit of glamour a lockdown winter.
freetodo I loved your little story about your shoes, it made me smile.
sugar great bargain shoes. I love the heel on them.Wednesday and Lessons you both sound in a really positive space to deal with winter and all that it may bring.
i start my new job on Monday, so tomorrow will be spent getting ready for that. The temperature here has definitely dropped, so I’ll be dressing with that in mind. I think I will be in the office 1-2 days a week and then working from home for the rest of the time, but I don’t know how it all works yet.5 -
Free - proper shoes showed you practical and sensible nature- with a dash of style.
Wednesday- enjoy the roast dinner tomorrow.
I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday- loads of fluids and echinacea helped. I don't have a temperature or the cough so the COVID checker app seems to indicate that ok. It is going to be a winter of being unsure if it is a cold or potentially worse and watching various symptoms against a checklist. About a week or so ago I was marveling that my asthma was making no impact on my life and days later- Im using the inhaler more. At least I had inhalers in.
It is funny I never found shoes in TK maxx- I just seem to avoid that section. I just can't seem to find shoes there down through the years.

seems we have the highest infection rate in the country. My Daughter feeling a little better, she's washed her hair today. Her appetite is returning. She fancied a pizza, so took her fresh chicken pizza and some fruit and other bits and pieces. going to take her roast chicken dinner tomorrow. It definitely feels cold here tonight. Was going to light the fire but got a big boxed bouquet on hearth, a gift from my lovely Daughters on the 22nd , what would have been my 36th wedding anniversary.

savings I’ve got some great bargains from TK Maxx over the years, but shoes aren’t generally one of them. I do have some French Sole ballet flats which were £35 down from £100+, but that is the exception. I think many of the shoes end up in TK Maxx because they were poorly designed - I’ve tried in so many that are uncomfortable or too narrow. I rarely bother with the shoes anymore.

Hello Ladies,
I went to the pub and came home after an hour, as hardly anyone had bothered to come to the pub. There were plenty of men down the other end of the pub playing pool, but there was no vibe, so I left. I do not think there will be any point in my going to the pub while the 10pm curfew continues.
Karaoke at the pub in Thornton Heath has been cancelled and who knows when it will ever resume. I am gutted. It took me so long to fully recover from Covid-19 and to stop getting breathless and now I have nowhere to go and enjoy a night out, so I will be staying at home. Ah well, the silver lining is that I will not have to go out in the cold and in the dark.

Sorry to hear your night out was a waste of time sugarbaby. It's interesting about the pub being empty. I wonder whether people were partying at home? 🤔 You look really glamorous. Is that a purple bag to match your top? Coordinating really works. 😊6

Maman Thank you for the compliment.
The pub was not empty, but it just mostly had men in there who were not in the least interested in the music being played. The music was good, so I was dancing sitting down on my chair, when I really wanted to get up. As no one else was dancing and the lights were up, I would have felt too self conscious to stand up and dance. Normally I would not be bothered if I was the only person dancing, but there was no vibe. I am sure that most of the regulars who are normally in the pub of a Saturday night were either staying at home because it is cold or they were partying at home in their groups of 6 (or more, most likely)
Yes Maman it is a purple leather Osprey handbag with a black patent leather clasp. I also had on my purple leather M & S leather gloves that were a great match to my handbag.
Saving More Thank you for your compliment. The purple skirt is not crushed velvet. It is a Marks and Spencer Autograph cotton velour skirt that I have owned and worn for years. It has an elasticated waist, so it fits me at the times when I have gained weight, like now. I also have the black version of this skirt. I originally saw them in the Walworth road M & S store but was not prepared to pay the asking price, which was £39.99 each. I found the 2 skirts new with the tags on eBay for about a quarter of the selling price in M & S.5 -
sugar I love your tonal approach to dressing. Apparently, wearing tones of the same colour make you look taller and slimmer (I’m 5ft, so it’s very much needed).

Thank you Chanie. I am 5ft 6ins, I personally think I only look slimmer and taller when I am in all black, but it has to be glamorous black rather than every day black.
I hope everything goes well for you in your new job.5
