Are you going to join us on our stash busting challenge? It would be great to have you on board :)
Thank you for the invite craftingmad. But I don't know that I could....it would overwhelm me!! There's about 10 years worth of  'to-do's' in there ,as well as all the WIP,UFO etc
I sorted my craft room last year, then DD2 sofa surfed  in it last summer,so it was a no-go area, rehoused her, tidied it up before Christmas,I had the sewing machine out and made a few aprons and some repairing. DD2 came back as she wasn't well. Anyway she didn't need to stay long !
So it's sort of mine again. I'll have another tidy round and see how it goes.,but will probably lurk then put in a total of what's done.
I'll be taking part in a yarn-bombing,and selling jewellery on a craft stall later in the year, plus several fund raisers.
So interesting and inspiring reading about you all.
    Thanks
    MrsS

MrsSnowy last year I didn't count my makes, just chatted and updated when I did or didn't buy things, and finished bits off. This year I am counting my makes as I think I might make a good number!

Declaring 4/52 after I finished a Valentine's day card (after hubby got home from work- I was waiting for him to tell me if he had got me a card! Such romantic people we are). I went wrong on my knitting and don't know how to unlock it properly :( I will look it up, if I can't understand it, it will have to wait until I go to see my mum again. On the upside, I have started hand sewing the quilt I was making together. Thankfully it's a small one, full of different textured fabric for my son to play with. I have never done applique stitch before, and it's not 100% perfect, but there's nearly 50% of the stitches I've done that are properly invisible, so I am very pleased with myself! I'm 1/3 done, and then I need to do some hand tying, and then it's done! A year in the making.

  • The waistcoats for OH's birthday are delayed - nearly ran myself into the ground last weekend trying to finish them, only to find that the one that was nearly finished was too small and the neck didn't sit right !   :s

I'm leaving it a bit until the urge to burn the lot has passed - I should be doing paperwork today as a respite!

My friend chose the lilly of the valley material,it's vintage laura Ashley.I chose the other material. The quilt had to be that size as that was all the LA material there was.She chose the pattern too. It is the 3rd and smallest quilt I have done.I think I have just one more quilt in me!
I undid the knitting twice as I thought it was knitting up very tight on the needles reccomended.Using bigger needles now and just doing my own thing. Not done anything this week as we went to Edinburgh for a few days and my son is visiting now. .

  • Ooh it's gone very quiet on here over the past couple of days!  Personally I haven't made anything because I've been learning how to crochet and it's slow going crocheting a twiddle mat!  As soon as I've finished it I'll be back!

I am a very basic crotcheter.I apparently crochet more like I am knitting but the effect is the same.I have only ever made blankets.
At the moment I am knitting a pink teddy bear wool baby blanket.I occasionally get the urge to knit so make baby things and send them to the hospice when they have a big coffee morning. A friend of a friends daughter is expecting a baby and asked to see what I had made.I sent a bag with 2 jumpers,2 cardigans and a blanket for her to look at and she wants to buy the lot, I don't usually sell stuff.I have no clue what to charge but to get some money back for the wool is ace.
When the blanket is finished I will have a go at making a seat cushion for a chair from the roll of underlay.I will make some covers from stash material.I am having a major spruce up of my kitchen before the house goes up for sale.#whatamess.Sold a large storage cupboard so need a cull and find new homes for what I am keeping.
