Three more fiddle mats finished today, that's the end of them now until I pick up some more knitted ones on Thursday.
Got the sewing machine out so might have a go at some bunting. Watch this space!

I have posted previously but then managed to lock myself out of the forum, the new format has let me back in.
I mainly hand sew with a little bit of basic knitting and crochet. With a house move on the cards this year a reduction of stash would be less to pack.
I will aim for 10 makes as my makes are usualy larger and slow to do.
Presently I am in the last stages of a hand sewn quilt for my friend,it has taken months. If anyone can give me an idiot guide to posting a pic I could have a go.

Less packing would definately give me an incentive to use some stash (although in practise it never did the last two times I moved!!!)
I cannot wait to hear all about your crafty makes

Jane1859 said:I started Operation De-Stash on New Year's Day. I've already knitted a baby cardigan, slipper socks, a beanie hat and a few small items for an Easter charity fundraiser. I'm also winding my scraps into cakes, with the aim of making a scrap blanket for the dog. Put me down for 50 makes!
I cannot wait to hear all about your makes (especially the scrap blanket for the dog - it sounds amazing)

Choose one, click 'done' and voilà, it's uploaded! I'm doing it on my android phone, so no idea if others using phones or laptops or tablets would be the same.
Hope that helps xx

I'm declaring a further 6 makes towards my total taking me up to 220/2020 so I am stash busting slowly but surely.
I've made a box of positivity for an order (4 sheets of card, a plastic box and 4 laminating sheets used from my stash)
A little bag of reminders for an order (using up an organza bag, a sheet of paper, two pompoms and various little embellishments) 4 cards (using up two topper sheets, 4 sheets of cardstock, lots of scraps of cardstock and 4 card blanks and envelopes)
Not loads but at least my stash is going in the right direction and not increasing at all
I've also worked out that I have gone 40 whole days without buying any stash (apart from the essential cardstock required for orders) which is a first for meMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.021 -
I'm liking this new forum now I've figured out how to upload pictures and quote!!
Didn't do any sewing, knitted up one of my new balls of wool from Aldi and finished that off.

I made 2 more cards with inserts, taking my total to 3/52 and I have started my knitting!!! I almost threw it across the room the first time, but after my mum showed mum how to cast on properly, and I watched a few videos to get different perspectives, I've got on a lot better. It will be very, very slow going though- I have finished the rib that makes up the hem of the sweater on the back piece in two evenings. I'm glad I decided to go for a 4-5 year jumper, he's only 18 months so I've got plenty of time!
I did have a slip up on Hunkydory members week. I put lots of things out of my basket, but I do have the members gift, some tag dies and BOGOF male card toppers coming. I've wanted a tag die so that I make my own tags and they look nice for a while (I couldn't get the proportions to look nice), and I'm short on male card ideas. I will either sell one of the BOGOF pads, or give it to my mum for mothers day (I'll have a subtle probe to see what she's got).
I was hoping to buy a piece of leather for an anniversary card, but my recycled craft place doesn't seem to have any in yet, so that idea might be knocked on the head! That and a Valentine's day card are next on my to do list. The Valentine's day card is planned, mostly cut out, just needs assembling. I have Wednesday off work (Wahoo!) So I will be busy having a me dayMake £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

Quilt finished, also not perfect but I would have to undo most of it to correct it.It'll be fine to a blind man on a galloping horse.I used up 2 half reels of thread which pleases me! I have enough thread for several lifetimes, and several other peoples lifetimes too.
Thank you for the photo information.I am a bit of a technical dummy so I think I will have to get one of my children to help me.I do have an iphone that I take pictures with but don't have mse on my phone so need to work out how to connect phone and laptop.
Next I will have a go at a 3 kings wall hanging.I admired a friends at craft club with no desire to make one myself. She turned up with all the pattern pieces photocopied in a plastic wallet for me.I don't usually use patterns for my sewing.I like to invent my own creations.I feel obliged to make it,so had to buy some fabric as I didn't have what I needed in my stash.I did though buy a dress from the charity shop for £2 which will be the back ground.I am all for recycling and saving money.
