I'm declaring a further 5 makes to bring my total to 214/2020 :)
These were a mini seed pack (hardly any stash used apart from a small piece of cardboard), 100 thank you cards (25 sheets of cardstock used) and three boxes of positivity (three plastic boxes, a  sticker sheet and 12 sheets of cardstock) :)
I've still managed to resist buying anything although have logged onto several sites and added things to my basket but luckily managed to logo off before hitting that buy now button! Not sure how I will get on this weekend though as I think I'm going to bored as hubby has rugby six nations on tv all the time!!!  Wish me luck -I'm determined to stay strong!!!

  • Oh no- never mind at least you have enough to make lots more fiddle mats ad as they are for such a good cause I can't be cross  :):):)

OMG, I've found out how to quote!!

Thank you craftingmad, I won't feel so guilty now, although I have bought enough wool to last me at least 6 months!  I also give some to a friend so she can make some too.

Over the past couple of days I've knitted and decorated and finished another 3, bringing my total to

     47/100

  • Have finished one WIP, a quilt that I have been making since early last year am quite pleased with it although not perfect by any stretch, also not very effective in using up stash but means have been able to start new quilt now, so will be working through some more fabric, also getting on with dress and PJ bottoms, and have finished redwork lampshade so that is another two things done.  Plan to stamp some images next week to practice colouring so that will use some card up and hopefully if colouring improves, may be able to use some on cards.

Three more fiddle mats finished today, that's the end of them now until I pick up some more knitted ones on Thursday.

Got the sewing machine out so might have a go at some bunting. Watch this space!

50/100    (ooh, half way to my target!!!)

    Hi,Please could I join you?
I have posted previously but then managed to lock myself out of the forum, the new format has let me back in. :)
I mainly hand sew with a little bit of basic knitting and crochet. With a house move on the cards this year a reduction of stash would be less to pack.
I will aim for 10 makes as my makes are usualy larger and slow to do.
Presently I am in the last stages of a hand sewn quilt for my friend,it has taken months. If anyone can give me an idiot guide to posting a pic I could have a go.

  • Welcome Vulpix, this new format is a pain isn't it?

I have just discovered how to post a picture, see above post.

Click the last icon on the top of the reply box, it's a mountain.   I then click on 'choose files' and it brings up all my saved pictures on my phone. Choose one, click 'done' and voilà, it's uploaded!  I'm doing it on my android phone, so no idea if others using phones or laptops or tablets would be the same.

    Hope that helps xx

  • I started Operation De-Stash on New Year's Day. I've already knitted a baby cardigan, slipper socks, a beanie hat and a few small items for an Easter charity fundraiser. I'm also winding my scraps into cakes, with the aim of making a scrap blanket for the dog.  Put me down for 50 makes!

Well done clodagh_trubble.  None of my things are ever perfect but I like to think that's the beauty of handmade :)
I cannot wait to hear all about your new makes and I bet your colouring will be miles better than mine - I'm useless at it!!!
