No Craft Spending in 2020 - I will bust my stash this year!!!

I've had a busy coupe of days and can declare a further 24 makes towards my total :j:j:j
Admittedly some of them did not use lots of stash but its still been used so I'm counting them:D:D
I've made:-
used 19 sticker sheets for orders (actually used 37 stickers sheets but I'm counting different designs rather than sheets as it seems a bit of a cheat if not!):D:D
a Project Life page (used up some cardstock, photo paper, some PL cards and some stickers):):)
A Scottish Flag (don't ask!) This used up some cardstock scraps and a straw :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
A Felt Sheep (for my husbands 50th birthday) so used up some felt scraps and some thread:):)
An Angel In My Pocket keyring (used up an angel charm, a keyring, a jump ring, a connector, an organza bag and some cardstock
Thank you Cards (used up 8 sheets of cardstock)
I have just had to buy some more linen effect cardstock though as I've run out and I've got orders I still have to print - am I forgiven?:(:(

I’ve not managed any more makes but I have bought a craft carry all.
I want a flight attendant style bag for my work laptop and stuff - and this was cheap and will fit the bill for now. It’s pretty and will give me the chance to trim one before I invest in an posh one.
I’m not counting it as such as it’s for work rather then crafty reasons.
Stashbuster - 2014 98/100 - 2015 175/200 - 2016 501 / 500 2017 - 200 / 500 2018 3 / 500

Well done emsi_b on your first make :T:T:T
And well done on limiting the amount of crafty stash you bought in Aldi :j:j:jMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.021 -
Nothing new made by me today so far but I must pull my finger out and get at least one order made
:D:D
I have however realised that I have at 202 things made this year, that I have officially reached 10% of my target - only another 90% ( or 1,818 items) left to make :eek::eek:Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Item 1/150 finally completed! I now have a lovely pink scarf completed - 450 rows of ribbing   Hoping to do plenty of smaller bits this month to catch up on my total - lots of crocheting, knitting and dressmaking to do...1

I'd love to join 'No craft spending for 2020'. Looking forward to sorting through my 'stash' and will set myself a target of 100 items (which I will hopefully smash and up my target)1

Can I join please?
I know its a little late but it has been a rotten start to the year and I need to get back to doing things I enjoy. Crafting keeps my mind and my fingers busy and gives me a sense of achievemnt and satisfaction and I need that right now.
I've not really completed any projects for over 2 years now. I worked full time in a demanding job and used to crave spare time just to do a bit of crafting. Having been made redundant and gone part time you would have thought I'd be loving all that free time just to get my stash out and let rip. But no, somehow I lost my motivation and haven't really made anything since. My Mum passed away at the start of the year and now I am just feeling lost and a bit lonely, suddenly I do feel like getting my craft stuff out again.
I have a massive stash that could keep me crafting for life but I'm going to set myself a goal of just 18 finished projects as I am also going freelance with my job and already need to catch upon the work I didn't do when Mum was poorly.

Welcome Maggie! 100 seems like a great target for the year. What kind of crafts do you enjoy?Best_Auntie wrote: »Can I join please?

Welcome Best Auntie, I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you have been through a very tough time, I'm not surprised you have lost your crafty mojo. I'm glad your stash is calling out to you now, and hopefully you can enjoy getting back into it. I really do enjoy my crafting time, it's so therapeutic and good for my soul. It's so hard juggling craft time with work and our other obligations isn't it? What kind of crafts do you enjoy doing?
Well yesterday I made another tag, for a goody bag I have made my 25 year old brother who is coming to visit for a few days later today.
I need to remember how to upload my photos of my makes!
I also need to get a wriggle on, as I still have quite a few cards I need to make. The most urgent being my nieces cards which I need for Sunday! I'm thinking of trying my Lawn Fawn "reveal wheel" die to make an interactive card for her. I've had the die for about 2 years (since it was released), and never used it. I always chicken out of using it, thinking I'm not "good enough" yet. Err, I'll never improve if I don't try, and the worst thing that could happen is I waste a bit of card...I've got plenty!!! So I think I'll be ok.
Sorry for waffling on again...:rotfl:1 -
Condolences Best Auntie, sorry for your loss xx
Well done craftingmad for achieving 10% of your total xx
Welcome to the newbies, this is a great place for encouragement to use up your stash. xx
I haven't finished anything over the past few days, but I have knitted 4 fiddle mats and used up quite a bit of wool. Not decorated yet so I'll count them when they're finished.Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing
