Hi everyone,
Wow freemurphy the socks are amazing. Are they for you or will you gift them?
So sorry to hear about your cat nmm xx We lost 3 the same way in the space of two weeks. Our neighbour was a black cabbie and was always tinkering with his taxi. We think it was deliberate and my mum wrote to the local press about it (this was back in the 80's). Your Lacey looks like our ItziGood progress on your jumper and The Junction is coming along nicely.
Keep on knitting Jazee - post some photos of your makes, pretty please!
I haven't done any stitching for the last few days but will try to finish 'M' tonight - Just the snow topping and pot feet to do. Thanks for the offer of 3046 nmm, that's very kind of you. I will be needing some other bits and bobs so will place an order next week I think.
In other news I ordered a female rucksack today for my big JoGLE adventure. Not sure when exactly we will be going.....but I will need it at some point and Millet$ had an offer on. I can't resist an offer!!
Take care all and stay safe.
Coxy xx

Sorry about you losing your 3 cats, its so awful to just lose them like that
I was wondering about your JoGLE, glad it will go ahead eventually, good job we postponed yarndale as it'll most likely be cancelled this year.

Hi all,
I finished 'M' last night and did a bit more snow - don't want to leave it all until the end.... In other news I had a look in the craft stash in the spare room and hey presto I found not one but two skeins of 3046! Not sure why I thought to order two of the same but yippee!!! Means I can finish the design over the next few weeks and not have to wait for the thread.
Yes nmm good job we postponed our visit to Yarndale. Did you see that Lucy is not going to be involved this year? I expect it will still go ahead given it's the end of September but you never know.....:o
My Dad's 80th birthday today. He lives in Cyprus so we had a family zoom chat earlier. He looked happy and well and was drinking champagne and eating macaroons. He was meant to be here for a few weeks but obviously had to postpone. Will celebrate with him once we get back to normality.
Hope you all have a fab long weekend. Not a lot of plans here but expecting a delivery from local nursery at some point. Will be good to get out in the garden if I have some planting to do!

That’s looking great. In crafting news I managed some more of my jumper, need to check if its the right length for me before starting the next side.
Christmas pots looks brilliant Coxy, pleased you found 2 skeins, its amazing what we stash and forget about. Actually i just remembered i bought Bothy Threads Love Tree kit (pictured below) and a beginners wool felting kit for £5 from a car boot last year. I did read about Lucy not attending I bet that will be strange for her. Glad your dad had a good birthday, he sounds like he's enjoying life
Take care and enjoy the Easter Weekend

Welcome Charly27, I use an R&R Lap Frame https://www.lakesideneedlecraft.co.uk/small-tablelap-frame-3410-p.asp only I have my fabric stretched over the front, have I been doing it wrong this whole time ??

Hi all,
Charly27 - I too have an R&R frame (handheld) but stretch mine over the front too!! The Christmas Pots piece of fabric is pale green (from Willow Fabrics) and I didn't cut it down so there's a fair bit of excess. I fold and pin the excess when I'm working otherwise my thread gets caught up when I stitch. It's going to need a good pressing when it's finished - more so than most.
OMG nmm - I have loved that Bothy Threads design for ages! Of all the gin joints etc..... I love their cut-through designs too - complicated but oh so colourful.
Sun is beaming here and a nice little breeze. No word or sign of the plant delivery yet, so I'm just weeding and tidying.
Hope you all enjoy the weekend!

Hi I’ll take a look at that frame thank you. My Bothy Threads ‘harbour lights’ now finished and framed was stitched on a hoop which I kept moving. That was my first cross stitch since school. Then I stitched a couple of Christmas cards and bookmarks which didn’t need a hoop. Now I’m stitching an ‘Animal Patchwork sampler’ from the Historical Sampler Company and I bought one of those packs of different sized wooden frames which slot together. I thought it would help me stitch faster and more comfortably as I could use both hands but find it actually harder even though it’s light. Not sure if it’s because it’s too large, 27cm x 29 cm. How do you find the lap one?‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler.
