Hi everyone,
Well I must say this new 'look' to the forum is hideous. I had to reset my password a few times before it accepted me in and my iPad won't support the new forum, only the main MSE site. This is really frustrating as it means that I can only post from my phone (small screen, big fingers, bad eyes) or when I'm on the main computer (like now). I have a couple of days leave today/tomorrow. Going to a spa day with my sister today and then pottering tomorrow. Our iPad OS is 10.3.3 and I can't seem to download the latest OS - which is very frustrating and I know it's not MSE's fault but I'm guessing that's the problem?
Anyway, a small bit of progress on the Christmas Pots design this weekend, thanks to Storm Ciara! DH is off to Amsterdam with work from Sunday for two weeks - he is devastated as you can imagineStorm Dennis is coming this weekend, so I will curl up with my sewing and chill. Children on half term next week, so will get them helping around the house with a few bits of cleaning and cooking to keep things ticking over, as I will be at work.
Hope you are all going well - will attempt to post a photo when I'm back on later or tomorrow.
Coxy xx

Hi all,
Spa day was lovely and it was good to spend some quality time with my DSis. We were planning our big Summer adventure whilst swimming and lounging around!
I arranged for the boiler to be serviced today - third time I'd attempted this as first time the guy rang in sick, then second time they promised me the first slot of the day and hadn't remembered so when it got to 11am and no sign of them I had to cancel as needed to take my Mum to the cemetary. Today I was promised 9am - got to 10am and no sign or message. Phoned the company to be told they'd arranged it for 5.30pm! Unbelievable. I had booked to see David Copperfield again this afternoon on my own as I fell asleep and missed about half an hour last time (it's a great film, but was a late showing). I came out of the cinema and turned on the phone to see DS1 ringing me - 5pm and they had arrived but wouldn't come in despite DD being 18 and the boiler being in the garage. Couldn't make it up! Dashed home and he inspected it and we have a leak so he couldn't service it and we need a part - £382 all in. Just great.
Anyhoo - back on topic (rofl). I have done precisely no stitching since the weekend, but as I said before I am determined to do loads whilst DH is away. He doesn't have an issue with me doing it, but I need to sit in a certain chair (for my back) which means I can't watch TV so if we're binge watching something on Netflix or iPlayer it doesn't really work for us.
Tomorrow is my nephew's 21st birthday meal. He is soon to move out of home so we have bought him saucepans, a frying pan and some utensils. They are individually wrapped and look hilarious as you can imagine
Hope Storm Dennis doesn't cause anyone any bother this weekend. I will be back with a photo once I've worked out how!

Colours are not great sorry - it's much better in real life (and how easy was that to upload a photo? Bye bye Flickr lol)

Hi coxy, seems you've been busy enjoying life
I'm the same no stitching done at all and very little crochet, I just don't know where the time has gone. I'm still going to Knit & Natter on Tuesdays and I go to a fitness class on Thursdays with a friend I met at K&N. I'm working my way through the Dahlia blanket although its a home project now as its getting heavy. I knew that you'd like the new way to upload pictures, so much easier now. I did reply to your pm, not sure if you got it, its set out differently now, it's all in one conversation instead of separate messages.
EDIT: Seems I've lost all my PM's except for 3 from years ago, I will resend it.

Sorry there have been no updates from me lately, but I finally got round to framing my Wild Wolf completed project

Oh wow nmm - Wild Wolf looks amazing all framed up. I LOVE his eyes!!!
I hope everyone is okay and no flood damage - I've been so saddened to see the news of people's homes and businesses affected.
I have had a week of no DH or DS1 as both are working away. It's been very odd and I've not been sleeping well. I've done precisely no stitching either as have been a bit low. Stupid really as I know crafting makes me relax and takes my mind off of other things. I am definitely going to do some today. DH back next Saturday - was meant to be collecting him from Gatwick but our car is playing up and I just about got home from A!di yesterday - very scary and no way am I getting on the motorway. Time to upgrade it as it's 16 years old!! I do like getting my money's worth lol.
Hope everyone else is going well. Have a good day all,
Coxy xxx

Not bad for a £land frame. No flood damage here except for a waterlogged mud bath of a garden, our neighbours fence blew down during the storms, they'll not fix it so we are going to plant some hedges when the wind and rain finally stops. It's a shame you haven't done any stitching but when your mind is busy its hard to concentrate on it, I find daily yoga is helping me a lot. Ooh new car shopping, what sort are you looking for?
In crafting news I have managed a few stripes on my blanket up to 30 now, I will get a photo of it tomorrow in the daylight, Lucy has already posted the border which looks so nice

Wow to the £land frame nmm - I am very impressed!!
Latest update from the Christmas Pots. You will see I'm trying to do some of the snow as I go along to avoid having to do it all at the end. I haven't been sewing as much as I'd hoped these last two week whilst DH has been away, but such is life. I've an itching to start a blanket having been on Attic24 to see the Dahlia CAL that nmm is doing. Very tempted by the coastal blanket she did a few years ago but it's oos at the wool warehouse, so I've asked to be told when the pack is next in stock. That's the problem with us crafters, one project is never enough! I do want to send DD off to uni with a blanket from home if I can.
Cinema tonight - comedy/disaster movie called Downhill with Will Ferrell. DH back from Amsterdam around 3pm. We will go with DS2 as he loves WF
Hope Storm Jorge doesn't cause too much havoc. We've had a wet and windy morning but bright and sunny now - very odd weather.

Looking good Coxy, is that the Dune blanket? I did a tester of the stitch and loved it, then totally forgot about it, I may make some cushion covers using the pattern now you've reminded me. Gale force wind and rain here now, hoping the fence stays upright, enjoy your trip to the Cinema.
30 stripes on my blanket, I need to figure out a better way to photograph it, haha.

Crafting of any description has been lacking recently and I've just realised its Mothers day in 2 weeks
Going to find a card to stitch, anyone else making one?
