Hi everyone,
Lovely to see more members posting
tricksie - that's a lovely piece and agree with nmm that the way you've mounted it is fab - did you do that yourself?
Sweetcarer - I remember you entering your work into competitions. Not surprised you won with that piece - it's lovely. Didn't you also used to stitch pieces for Sandy Hook (apologies if that wasn't you).
nmm - hope you are getting to grips with the evenweave. I am loving it but maybe I'm just weird!
Here is the latest from the Christmas Pots.
I spent some time on Sunday afternoon just chilling, stitching and watching the last two HP films as VMedia have offered us Sky movies for £1 extra a month for a year. My life is all about the movies right now!
Speaking of which, I saw Judy last night - it was on re-release for one night only as Renee Zellweger won a Golden Globe for her performance. Having watched it I feel it's totally deserved, such a sad story.
Going to see Joker tonight - again, only on for one night as it has Oscar nominations.
Hope you all have a lovely evening.

Thank you! Yes I did, it is mounted on sticky board covered with fabric and then attached to a beer trug with magnets and washers. Easy to change to something else for the spring.
I've pretty much run out of wall space, so this is great for seasonal pieces.Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:1 -
Hello, not sure if this link will work. I'm on this thread at the invitation of nmm. The photo should be of a fabric bowl I made today.
Have also been designing a cross stitch pattern but the item I'm copying does not lend itself well to cross stitch so I'm having a rethink. Also found that I needed to wear a head torch to do the cross stitch!

Hello all,
Hope your weekend is going well. I was at the gym for a run this morning. Dragged myself out of bed and although I wasn't looking forward to it, I was very glad I went. Really enjoyed the Joker film this week and actually felt sorry for him
Next weeks watches will be Just Mercy and Bombshell.
Have been stitching this afternoon and here is an update:

tricksie - love that your pieces are interchangeable, such a good idea :T
Just about to watch the final episode of Killing Eve series 2. Need to actually watch it, so stitching has been put away for this evening.

Not sure if this will work!
One of my latest finishes, Little House Needleworks "Winter Band Sampler"
Very nice and well presented work. I always try to do framing my self - framers are so expensive.
Sweetcarer - I remember you entering your work into competitions. Not surprised you won with that piece - it's lovely. Didn't you also used to stitch pieces for Sandy Hook (apologies if that wasn't you).
Yes I did, so long ago I done these - 6 hearts for Sandy Hook - one for each of the adults in the school - they all got made into cushions - hope they gave some comfort to the families.
Working away on my big project just now - the Star Spangled Banner by Northern Expressions - full of speciality stitches and beads.
Kind wishes,

Hi all and welcome Jazee :hello:
Lovely to see more folks posting.
I love the bowl, really colourful. Is that for you or is it a gift?
Sweet Carer - the cushion designs for Sandy Hook are lovely, such a fitting tribute xx
I am hoping to do some more stitching tonight as DH is out with friends for a drink or two... we've tidied the garden today as it's been cold but dry here in Kent. It looks a lot better out there and some of the spring bulbs are up - just green at the moment but it won't be long before some colour arrives
I'm still loving the evenweave - how are you getting on with it nmm?
Have a good evening all,

The bowl is for me as it was just a trial. It's only the size of a tea cup but will be handy for odds and ends on my dressing table. Am already thinking ahead to making a larger one and filling it with bits for a new born as a gift. The great thing is they're really strong and washable...will maybe add a lining too.
Have also been knitting more squares for a baby blanket today, well about half a square!
